Long weekend stay
We stayed after Christmas for a couple days. They are in the middle of a remodel so it could be noisy. Also the pool was closed for painting, but it was done while we were there. Weekend breakfast was great but Monday had issues with plates and silverware to even eat on. The room was great and perfect for what we needed. Good location to get to some of the main attractions.

Could have been nice, but sucked
Checked in and pool and hot tub were closed after I had called before booking to ensure they would be open. The TV's in the room didn't work and after waiting 5 hours for someone to come fix them they moved me to another room. The new room had 1 less bed so they moved me again. The 3rd room also did not have working TV's so moved me to a 4th room (now 10 hours into stay - midnight). Finally working TV's but the heater was cranked to 80 and there was no AC so we got no sleep the first night. We were assured pool would be reopened by next day, but it was not. Second day the front desk gave us a box fan to try to cool the room some. Third day - pool and hot tub still closed. Also, the entire time we were there they were doing construction and halls were frequently blocked by ladders and there was construction debris and materials piled everywhere and power tool noise. Considering I picked the hotel for use of pool and hot tub and to sleep and neither of those were fulfilled, I feel like I was ripped off. Employees were nice but flustered - other people were also having issues with tv's and internet and I heard them say over and over that it is an old hotel and we should expect wear and tear.

Could have been better for the price...
Hotel is under renovation, heat was on and room was so hot. Breakfast buffet was lacking, no cold drinks such as cold juice or soda. They had the machines but only the juice worked and it was hot. Breakfast chef didn't seem to care about quality of food they made. Buffet ran out of food and they were incredibly slow to refill if they even refilled it all. Room was nice and clean despite being very hot.

BEWARE.. read reviews before you waste your time
DONT STAY here! We paid for our room, drove 2 hours to get there and ended up leaving without a refund and spending $200 to go somewhere else. The AIR did not work after we were promised it was all in working order, the TV did not work, the entire hotel was dirty. Elevators were so nasty and smelled horrible. They were adamant of NO refunds. Almost got stuck with 4 kids and no place to stay. So disappointed and the general manager was rude when we just wanted our money back to go somewhere else. Many others at the front desk complaining about their rooms and wanting new rooms. They don’t tell you they are in the middle of a remodel when you book and wait until you get there and say sorry about your luck. Stay far away from this place

Not so great stay.
The breakfast and evening reception were great, as usual. However, the air didn't work in our room. It was a hot weekend. Also, the TVs wouldn't stay connected to the service so channels were intermittent. Lastly, there were sports tournaments all weekend so the hotel was crowded with loud kids behaving badly.

Had to change room heat/AC not working!
Let me start with my hotel check in lady charged my card even though I told her I booked through third party. Then she laughed about it. Then lady walking out of hotel said she did the same to her. Then I got to the room it just got redone but I had a hole in the ceiling while showering. Then at night I noticed the heat wasn’t working. I called down to the front desk they said an engineer would come up. Then about 30 mins to hour later they told me they blew a circuit and I would either deal with it or I would have to pack my stuff up around 9 PM then head down 5 floors to new room. I got to new room and the electrical outlets didn’t work for my room and the cable didn’t work. Not a good stay at all.

Not completely happy
I was very impressed about the room and hotel in general. But the pool was shut down after the first day of being there and by the time they fixed it we were gone. The reason I picked the hotel was the amenities for children. The breakfast was the same as any hotel. Not the breakfast I was expecting at the embassy suites.
