Lovely stay to start our vacation in New Zealand!
👍 Like my review! We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Imagine Beach Road Hotel in Downtown Auckland Central Business District as our 1st city in New Zealand to celebrate New Year 2025. After an adjacent sidewalk luggage drop off, we were checked in by Ruby in a roomy lobby. The elevators were quick and easy using our key card allowing access only to our floor. Our room was overall clean with a comfortable bed and pillows soaking in tons of sunlight with a modern bathroom and several amenities (e.g. toiletries, lock safe with keypad, plates, bowls, utensils, mugs, glassware, iron, hair dryer, shelf space). We wish there was more bathroom space for our toiletries so we had to be creative around the sink. Bring your power adapter if traveling internationally! Although we didn't watch any local television, we had no issues connecting to their fast WiFi and screencast onto the television our favorite videos. Even with no breakfast and microwave, we started each day with instant coffee or tea using their electric kettle before walking to a nearby eatery, grocery, or shopping district. It was also easy to order a rideshare to avoid parking a vehicle and paying for high parking fees nearby. There is also a paid laundry facility next door or you can get it done by the hotel. The staff and manager were also helpful and consistently took our feedback issues with kindness and understanding. Overall, we would love to stay here again and would recommend it to our friends and family.

The stay was good. Was ignored on check-in for almost 5 minutes while the front desk agent talked to maintenance men. Still waitimg on my $150 room deposit to return to my account. Emailed the front office manager over 24 hours ago for them to email westpac to release the bond, sent a follow-up email today, still no response

Modern Value for Money!
A simple but clean and modern hotel near Spark arena and a short walk into town. Convenience of a supermarket over the road. Modern rooms. Black out curtains. Bathroom very basic but good value for money. Noise wise its very quiet except the very loud banging of room doors. Only improvement needed - better towels, they are awful, its like drying yourself with a teatowel. But otherwise really good value for modern, I would stay again. Staff were lovely.

This has become my regular Hotel during my bi-annual trip to Auckland. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. I love the location and the dining options, which are close to Britomart. My only minor complaint is that I request a room overlooking Beach Rd however I am always directed to the back of the Hotel overlooking ugly buildings. But overall this is a good Hotel in a prime location.

The room itself was beautiful and very tidy. Our air conditioning wasn’t working at all and kept randomly turning on and off and letting out freezing cold air which wasn’t ideal. The night staff were very friendly and kind but the morning ones didn’t even greet us at all which so the service was pretty poor in my opinion.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be very convenient due to its proximity to the CBD. It’s just a short walk to cafes, restaurants, and a supermarket, which made exploring the area super easy. The hotel is also located near a parking lot, which was handy, although it’s worth noting that the parking isn’t free. Overall, the location is excellent if you're looking for convenience, but keep in mind the extra cost for parking.

We have been staying at Imagine Beach Road on and off for a few years now. The staff are courteous and go out of their way to accommodate us. The hotel is very clean and convenient. We walk into the CBD, Britomart for shopping and dining. The Viaduct is within easy walking distance. The hotel has 14 floors. We have stayed on the 13th and 14th and they are quiet. Parking is offsite and if you have a SUV (high) vehicle like ours, a Toyota Prado Land cruiser or similar, it is too high to fit into their allocated parking. We have to park in the Wilson Carpark approximately 1 minute walk from the hotel's front door at a cost of $45 per day. This is not a problem and very secure. Never had an issue. The hotel is inexpensive by comparison to others nearby, so we don't mind paying for the Wilson Carpark. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

On our travels to Auckland for a concert held near by we looked forward to our stay at Imagine Beach Road for how close it was to the Spark Arena (actually cancelled a booking at another Hotel to be closer). We were disappointed that reception staff were not overly warm and inviting, one in particular that manned the front desk majority of the time. We were also disappointed that there was no toaster or microwave in the room as this would have made having breakfast in more cost efficient and convenient, however having said that I should have checked out the amenities before booking. The other issue we had was the heat pump in our room was only blowing cold air, would have been great if it was summer but instead made it quite chilly, we did notify cleaning staff as they were in the hallway when we tried several times to suss it out, they also attempted but could not work it, on a plus they did bring in an extra oil heater. Bed was conmfortable and bathroom was nice
