We will be back asap.
This place was incredible. Location was amazing. Staff were professional and helpful. There's so much to do in the hotel, as well as within 1 mile of it, you'll have no chance to do it all in one week. The atmosphere in the hotel is luxurious without feeling luxurious. The restaurants served delicious food. It was just a wonderful experience all around. Beds and pillows were great too.

I wanted to love it. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous with awesome historical detail. The hotel and room were both very clean. The location couldn’t be better, extremely walkable to many tourist attractions and restaurants. The disappointing part was the room. The bed and pillows were bad quality, very uncomfortable. I would expect a lot more for the price of the room. In addition, on Friday night the house music from the bar downstairs kept us up until midnight. Above our room was a basketball court with pounding basketball noise periodically throughout the night. Lastly, the man seemingly in charge of valet was very rude and disrespectful. He addressed me and when I started to speak, he scoffed and said “nevermind, I’ll talk to him”. I don’t appreciate sexism. He made it very obvious. This hotel is stunning and some of the staff were exceptional. All that being said, I would visit again but not stay. I expect a lot more from a place like this. So many missed opportunities for good service but mostly disappointing was the inability to sleep from the horrible bed and noise. It’s a reasonable expectation to be able to sleep comfortably in a nice hotel as such.

Very disappointing. Overly crowded seemingly with students and others just hanging out in lobby doing work. And sketchy people wandering into the place from the street. No clear doorman or security in the place. Fight broke out in the rooftop bar with people yelling and bloodied. Room was TINY. Barely bigger than the bed.

This hotel is all pretense and no substance. The room was dark and looked out on a fire escape on which workers in the neighboring building would smoke right outside your window. There were ceiling leaks that caused wet patches in the carpeting and leaked brown liquid from the light fixture into the shower. The shower glass was not big enough and water pooled all over the bathroom floor after every shower so you had to use all your towels to mop it up, then there was no place to put all the wet towels as the bathroom had only one hook. The elevators were very slow and at times only one worked. When you got on one they were often crowded with people including hotel staff. When we reported the issues to the front desk they acknowledged the problems but offered no solutions and shrugged as if they knew but couldn't do anything. Completely not worth the money.

We really enjoyed this beauty of the architecture and the location. The staff was great, and the water pressure in the shower was impressive. The only thing I would say could improve is the beds are extremely flat and the pillows provide no neck support. The beds could improve - either they need way more pillows or different pillows that are a bit firmer and maybe a pillow you can use to sit up in bed as an option.
