We were unaware that the hotel was under major construction and it was pretty rough for the price. We also were sent to a room on the 3rd floor first and it smelled like smoke horribly, they did give us a new room, but the TV didn't work and it was really cold because there was no carpets anywhere on the hotel itself. They were doing the normal amenities but they were not the quality we are used too.

Bad convention 2025
My son and I were there for state beta convention and we were very disappointed. The room smelled bad. There was no linens for the hideaway bed. They don't have plastic shower liners so water ended up everywhere. Breakfast was good but the man in the restaurant was rude and yelled at our beta students when they were trying to help clean up their tables.

5/5 recommend
Phenomenal stay as usually at Embassy Suites. There was some construction it it didn’t take away from the stay. Breakfast was great and free snacks and drinks from 5-6:30 was nice! Had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious.

Normally great
I wish we had known it was under construction. We love staying here every year, but the construction caught us off guard. It’s been annoying.

Picked the property because of the location and they had free breakfast. Breakfast had a good amount of options but it wasn’t great. Location was walkable to downtown which was great. The bar and restaurant were the best amenities that we used! The chicken wings were so good!

To my surprise, they charged $125 as a pet fee for my stay. I believe to the best of my knowledge this was not mentioned on expedia.com when I made the reservation so this came to me as a surprise and ended up paying that fee..
When we checked in into our room, even though we are non-smokers the room that we got had the smell of weed in it. I did request them to come and use a spray in our room so that at least it would limit the smell of weed inside the room and we had already unpacked and had a pet with us so we’re not intending to move to another room.. the room service person came only after three hours after I made the request.
The breakfast options that they had were minimum. Not much variety.. also they were short staffed and did not refill the empty bowls of food that they were serving frequently. There was always a wait for them to refill. They had a station where they were serving customizedegg omelettes. The lady preparing the omelette was very rude.
They have ample of parking available. By default, they will charge you $10 parking fee thinking that we are parking inside the parking lot of the hotel. They have ample of parking across the street as well and that’s where I parked. I had to mention to the front desk that I have parked my car across the street and not inside the hotel parking lot. By default they had charged me $10 a day for parking which they reimbursed after I spoke to them. Overall, not happy with my stay.

Room was nice. Guests next to us had kids running around that were loud well into the late night. Went to breakfast and they were out of plates and silverware. Texted the hotel and the girl was arguing with me that they did not. Well, when i went over there were none. Terrible way to treat your guests.

HVAC unit leaking water. For reporting it and the inconvenience of having to move rooms,I was told we were being upgraded, but it was a lateral move if not a downgrade. The room we moved to had tv issues. Despite parking on the street, charged $10 a day for parking, An Unnecessary petty charge.

Embassy Hotel and Suites was a nice place to stay for two nights while in town to visit the National Park. The location is ideal for walking instead of taking your car and looking for a place to park, dealing with traffic etc.
I loved the easy check in, managers welcome, and breakfast. I would recommend staying here if you are in town.
Downsides in my opinion-
$125 pet fee!!!!! Crazy expensive. This was charged for my one dog for two nights, each pet fee allows two dogs. So why does one dog cost the same?
I got my receipt to my email the morning of check out and noticed they added on a second pet fee of $125. I had over $280 of pet fees and taxes.
Hotel corrected this when I approached guest services with no problem. I just wonder how many people have not reviewed their bill and the same thing happened.

Disappointing breakfast
Check in was delayed because we arrived before 3pm and were turned away. Room was worn but comfortable. Breakfast was a disaster, with no bread for toast, hard biscuits and small flying insects in the fruit. Very disappointing for an embassy.
