what must have a been a grand olde dame years ago has shifted to be a nice old hotel. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The parking situation was inconvenient and unusual bordering on confusing. The room itself was very large, but with mostly bare walls and unusual(?) furniture choices. Having said all that, we were pleased with our choice by the time we checked out! We were surprised to read on the website about the "enchanting" garden. It may have been enchanting once , but those days are gone. It's too bad the bar and restaurant are no longer in business.

European charm. Large suite tha is dated/eclectic (red shag carpet, mid century furniture, etc) but that was part of the overall experience. Good breakfast selection. Also a local restaurant two doors down. Bed was very firm.

Comfortable rooms and great service.

We had to have a Corona test (2G+) and the receptionist was so kind to book us a test in a nearby (10min walk) testcenter. Parking in front of the hotel is free, the room was big, clean and comfortable and the city center is only a short walk away. If you like to sleep with your window open, you shouldn't get a room facing the main road in front of the building.

Lovely place to stay during our visit to Lübeck

Ours was a one-night stay in the Hotel Kaiserhof. There was a one-way system into and out of the hotel reception which was good, but I noticed that not all guests kept to this arrangement. Checking in was friendly, quick, and easy. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a comfortable bed. It faced the Kronsforder Allee but we didn't hear much traffic noise; I don't think the road was very busy even though it was a Saturday night, the sound insulation was very good and our sleep was not disturbed. The hotel is in a very good location for visiting Lübeck, close to lovely parks and walks, and within easy walking distance of the wonderful city and its attractions. Overall we thought it was very good value for money and we would definitely stay there again.

Old, character hotel. Old style double glazing - separate inner and outer hinged windows. Only the glass was missing from the left side and the whole window from the right side. Bathroom was mouldy with cracked and chipped floor and wall tiles. Badly in need of painting and/or renovating inside and out. Allegedly 3-Star and AUD230 a night. Breakfast was good and staff nice. Hasn’t seen any work in at least 20 years. Not doing the Centro brand any good.
