Great B&B minutes away from train station
We had stayed here before and were happy to return. Room was very nice with spacious bathroom. Staff are very friendly and we really enjoyed the cooked breakfast. Would be happy to stay here again!

David and Joan were superb hosts. They were excellent at making suggestions of where to go, things to see and do and places to eat. The hotel was the most beautiful old heritage home, exquisitely appointed and spotlessly clean. Would recommend to anyone wanting to come to the area!

Hill hotel Dumfries - well worth a visit
Terry and Lynne are excellent hosts. Made very welcome from the word go. Hotel is recently refurbished, very vlean and comfortable. The hosts are friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. Breakfast made to order and very good. Thoroughly recommend for a visit to Dumfries.

One night stay en route to wedding.Plenty of free on site parking.Nice place full of character and period features.Room was spotless.Easy location for town and near to station.A good nights rest followed by nice breakfast set us up for the day ahead.Hosts were very welcoming and helpful.Overall exceeded expectations!

Great hospitality! Very tasty breakfast that you can select the night before from a menu card in your room. Terry was very welcoming and helpful. Would stay there again! A very brief walk from the Dumfries station.

Wonderful experience
I really enjoyed my visit to The Hill Hotel. I had problems on the journey and arrived late and Jerry made me feel welcome from arriving to leaving. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

What a find,this hotel is .it's nicely situated good car park ,clean bright and extremely comfortable .Terry and Lynne are wonderful hosts ,nothing is too much trouble for them ,and they are always friendly and helpful .we have stayed here three times before and would not consider staying anywhere else .

My husband & I stayed at the Hill Hotel for 2 nights while in Dumfries. From arrival to departure, Terry, Lynne & staff provided exceptional customer service. Our room was clean and the property also looked immaculate. Our entire stay was relaxing and we would not hesitate to return to the hotel in future. We fully recommend it.

This is an impeccable hotel. The hosts are kind and helpful, and the breakfast is perfectly and excellently cooked. It is nicely situated: 5 minute walk from the train station, and just a 15 minute walk from downtown Dumfries. We loved our stay.

Nice and friendly place close to center
It’s an old building on a hill but the inside is nicely renovated and in a good state. Rooms are nice and clean and beds are very good. Breakfast is nicely done on request the English or Scottish way. Service is excellent and staff (Terry) is very friendly and helpful.
