Family weekend getaway
I called the hotel number to see if we could check in early and they told me I had to go to the hotel, so we went, and thankfully we were able to check in early. We were given out ticket for parking with the hotel and keys. The rooms were average, and for paying for a high rise room we were on floor 19 which was probably the lowest "high rise room". View was decent, just not as high we I would of liked. Room was very clean. Beds were firm as all hotel beds are but not lump. The temperature control was the worst of the room, the room was colder when we came in which is normal, but then took forever to heat up, and then in the middle of the night we had to turn it down because the temp we had it on became way to hot (were talking like 71). Bathroom was nice, but the doors on shower and toilet area wouldn't stay closed, they were always be open like 2 inches no matter which way you closed it, they are heavy glass doors. There is a mini fridge and plenty of storage for clothing. They also offer free water bottles in each room, besides the normal coffee/tea. Located in a decent area as well.

My bathroom had someone else hair on the floor as well as a piece of tissue. Luckily I always bring bleach. I have locs and my daughter has braids! The pillow had a stained spot! Other than that it’s a decent getaway

I don't stay in a lot of proper hotels so when I do, I'm always easily amazed. Hyatt Centric easily amazed me. A nice, shiny, squeaky-clean business-oriented hotel that made it easy to be comfortable. It was fun.

Great hotel!
Great location and friendly staff. Sebastian was wonderful and upgraded our family to a larger room so we would have more space. Our food from the restaurant downstairs was really good. The hotel parking is a bit expensive at $78 a night. Use SpotHero and find a close parking lot.

Room With A View… NOT
First time in Chicago and snowed in for 2 days at the beginning of January while we await a flight . Being slow season , we at least expected a room with a little view of this beautiful city but all we got was a brick wall. Not sure why hotels do this during slow season when it’s a great opportunity to showcase their establishments and entice the customer to return. Nonetheless, the restaurant was great, the staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay .
