Service going downhill
I've stayed at this place at least 3 times prior to this visit and I feel like the service has gone downhill. First check in took long and the front desk worker was not every friendly or customer service oriented. She asked for our card for a $20 incidental fee when we already gave her the card for the $50 deposit/incidental fee. I asked why do we have to pay another $20 and she didn't seem to know why just that since I booked through a 3rd party (Hotels.com). I told her i always use hotels.com and never had to pay this fee. She replied "they're always changing things". Then I asked not to be roomed by the elevator or stairs where the doors will be constantly opening and closing and she replied well the elevator isn't working so you will have to take the stairs and your room is by the stairs. Wow. who wants to lug up luggage flights of stairs after a long travel day? I had called earlier in the day to let them know we would be doing late check in and would have appreciated the heads up that the elevator isn't working. I've seen other reviews that the elevator wasn't working but thought nothing of it. Maybe it was just that day kinda thing but I guess not. We were so tired we were not able to get up to make it to breakfast so not sure how good that was. In the past it was ok. They used to offer water and coffee in the lobby and that wasn't there. When we asked about it they said they don't do that anymore 😔. Bed was thin and hard. AC was super loud, had to turn it off.
