Gorgeous property - slow service

The Westin St. Thomas offers a stunning beachfront paradise with breathtaking views and gorgeous grounds. The property itself is a Caribbean gem with its pristine beaches and well-maintained facilities. Unfortunately, the beautiful setting was consistently undermined by frustratingly slow and inattentive service. Wait times at restaurants were excessive, requests for basic amenities required multiple follow-ups, and staff often seemed overwhelmed or disinterested. Room service was particularly disappointing, with orders arriving cold and incomplete. While I would return for the idyllic location and picturesque setting, the service quality falls well short of what you'd expect from a resort of this caliber and price point. If management could improve staff responsiveness and overall service standards, this would be a five-star destination.

We had a great vacation!

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The spa was lovely. There were plenty of choices for food, several pools and the beach, plus watersports and boat excursions. We had a great time!

Only for the filthy rich!

It was very expensive for what amenities that were available. The on site food was expensive and not good, service was good, too many added fees - group of six or more had a surcharge and auto gratuity of 20%!

Well worth it !!!

Lovely resort! Beautiful vistas! Great beach with plenty of chairs and umbrellas! Great food service on the beach from salt shack restaurant! People so nice! Pool area very nice with 3 pools to choose from! 2 pools are exclusively for adults. Plentiful restaurant options with outdoor dining Rooms newly renovated fresh clean and comfortable beds! Overall a great resort and very family friendly as well You can take a hotel shuttle down to beach or outdoor staircase with lots of stairs but pretty views along the way One problem was that the beach elevator was out of service, but in our group of 70-4 year olds we all managed the steps up and down just fine ! Our group of 14 people agreed that we would all definitely return! Enjoy your stay!

If I can give any advisor please DONT read the bad reviews! They kept me up for 2 days after booking! For no reason! I cannot recommend this place more! My family & I had the most amazing time. The staff, the food, the grounds, transportation, rooms everything about this place was amazing! It’s a true relaxing getaway on island time and it’s just what the DR ordered! Thank you Westin for making our lil 5 day getaway perfect!!!!! You all rock!!!!!!!! Xo

The service was absolutely terrible - both rude and unhelpful. The only nice people worked at the bar. I strongly advise against their “spa” services. We stayed in the tower part of the hotel and maybe that’s the older rooms but it was also bad. The air conditioning was so loud we had to adjust the tv volume up/down each time it went on and off! I am 41! And the room just felt old and island-like at all - more like a random hotel in the middle of the states. Overall great location and great view walking out to pool and bars and decent food. But everything else is mediocre at best.

Similar to other resorts in St Thomas, there were no safe ways to walk outside the resort property. Narrow roads, no sidewalks, large distances to walk to places of interest. Hiring cabs was the only option.
