Close to SeaWorld & nice pool
Hotel was nice but a few things were annoying like the car parking charge of $29 a night felt excessive. Food was average. No black out blinds and road and plane noise could be quite noisy at times. My kids loved the pool and our room was right next to it that also had its plus and minus points as the pool is open until 11 so can be noisy if you plan to sleep earlier than that. Fridge in room was useful, overall room was good and clean. Check your bill when you leave as we paid for the $20 a day package that included upgraded WiFi and SeaWorld shuttle but they also charged us for the upgraded internet. ($15) Also lots of private events at the hotel like weddings and conferences which gave it a bit of a weird atmosphere. Overall price is good for quality of pool and room. Parking also easy.

We checked in and found that the room we booked looked nothing like the one in the pictures. It was small and there was no balcony. The mini fridge made an awful noise. The air conditioner is also in the bathroom. We made the decision to change rooms. We upgraded to a suite (for an extra 200). The only difference is a balcony and a partitioned wall. No larger fridge or anything else. It’s very outdated. We also got to the new room and there was full Blown construction next door that no one disclosed. All in all we won’t be back but the staff was nice.

Overall, service was excellent and it was a lovely place. It’s sort of eight different buildings that are all open balcony rooms on one side off of a parking lot almost like a motel gathered together to be a resort. It’s a little bit tricky to navigate if you’re not good at finding, but the pool was lovely. The hot tub was great and it’s right in the marina so it’s interesting. My only and biggest gripe is with the breakfast buffet. For a family of four it cost us $100 including taxes and tip and the food was nowhere near the quality to deserve the price. 100% SKIP THE RESTAURANT. Would stay there again as the location is great and access and parking is easy for visiting San Diego. Mission bay is great and the boardwalk is so close.

Excellent managerial staff
We were a bit surprised by the smallness of the room, but it had all we needed...plus an extra guest -- a Texas-sized cockroach! The front desk manager, however, was great. Even though he didn't have another room our size, he sort of upgraded us to a king/sofa sleeper room, comped our parking, and reduced the rate. As a family traveling on a budget, we deeply appreciate the effort!
