Oct 4, 2026Lovely hotel & staff. We had an issue with our original room but were moved without issue. We had dinner in the lounge/bar which was good. Bar staff friendly. Grounds are lovely.

Sep 26, 2026This is a lovely ‘proper’ hotel. The staff were so amazing and cared about what they were doing so much we went back for another night. Yes it’s a little faded in places but spotless and I loved that it wasn’t a modern carbon copy of every hotel out there. They are renovating and you can start to see what the vision will be. If you like the best service, huge comfortable beds, fantastic food , peaceful surroundings, feel welcome and as if nothing is too much trouble and don’t care that this beautiful house is a little tired then I can’t recommend it enough

Aug 31, 2026Our friends son’s room was dirty. He was moved to another room and that has bed bugs! He ended up sleeping in the car. The hotel is undergoing some refurbishment which it needs as the rooms and public areas are rather tired looking. On the plus side the staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is good.

Aug 2, 2026Very mixed review in that the location of the hotel is great the terrace is a wonderful spot to have a drink or some food. But our room was small and looked well passed its best, desperately needed to be decorated. Regarding the staff we were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco which was lovely but at other times staff weren’t helpful or attentive.
