Not what it once was

Had a few issues like no hot water, no ice in the ice machine, building is very loud coming from the elevator somehow echoing over our room every time it went up and down., and the pool area is very small but you can't take lounge chairs to the beach. you have to sit on the ground. Parking was free and under ground so that was nice but very small and tight. staff was ok. Room was great with the kitchen. But very limited wifi in room if you wanted to watch netflix or prime at bed time it wouldn't play continuously. Weather was great and Mazatlan it;s self is a favorite spot of ours. We just had better luck at other resorts.

Really does not deserve a 8.4/10. More like a 4/10

This is not a 8.4/10 hotel, I’d say 4/10, we asked to be moved on day 1 from room 515 because of the building noise about 20m away from the balcony, room was dirty & the patio door didn’t lock. Next day we got room 1106, no building noise, the patio door locked, room was still dirty, I cleaned the bathroom myself. If you walked across the floor your feet were filthy, floor wasn’t cleaned in the 2 weeks we stayed & obviously wasn’t cleaned before we moved in. We spoke to other guests who said the same. Now the noise! Lying around the pool, they have ‘events’ on in the main room, next to the pool, loud events, parties, cruise ship entertainment etc, loud parties on an evening (not hotel guests). You can also hear the music from the bars on the road side until about 12.30. On 4 separate nights we had parties in rooms adjacent to ours until the early hours, one night a group of kids in the adjacent room left the tv on with a horror movie full volume & went out at around 2 in the morning, eventually security came up, let themselves in & turned the tv off. The next night, the room at the other side, a large group of teenagers started a very loud music party at around 12.30, we complained, security must have come, went quiet for a while, then started again, security refused to intervene & offered us another room at 2.30 in the morning! Good points - most of the staff were nice & a good location for seeing all the sights & on a good bus route.

Very nice hotel in great location with room for 5+

Stay was great, hotel staff were outstanding, view was amazing, pool was warm and pleasant, location was perfect. I especially appreciated the ability to stay with my family of 5. Not many hotels in Mexico allow 5 person per room occupancy. This hotel had rooms set for 6 and even 8.

The first room we stayed at the sofa bed didn’t pull out because there wasn’t enough space so they changed us rooms. The second was the same issue with the sofa bed it didn’t pull out cause there was no space so we were just tired from moving room after room so we just stayed there. After two days have gone pass our room started leaking water from the ceiling so we had to change rooms again after the last room we stayed at it had cockroaches.
