Great Romantic Boutique Hotel

Stunning location in on Sonoma Highway in the middles of everything. Meticulously curated buildings, swimming pool and warm pool for adults (bigger than Jacuzzi, do not have jet but with a waterfall ) in stunning garden landscape. We stayed in a smaller king bed room facing swimming pool and the view of the pool in the garden, and Sonoma hills and vineyard. There are lounge beds for couples and fire pits for realization carefully placed for privacy and peaceful ambiance. Warm pool is open 24/7 and pool is open 8AM to 10AM, which is really wonderful. Every evening, different wineries are invited and offer wine tasting with cheese and crackers. Breakfast buffet is also provided 8AM to 10AM inside the building or you can bring your food to courtyard tables if you like fresh air. Cookies, coffee, tea and filtered water are available 24/7. They do not have a "restaurant" on site, but room services for snacks and sandwiches are available. Also it is not far away from restaurants of center of Glen Ellen. Many wineries located near by for exploring. Since we stayed Sunday night for our anniversary, it was not so busy and really serene night. This is one of our best anniversary trip as location is so peaceful, setting of the hotel is so beautiful, their service is perfect and made us very relaxed so we had made a great memory.

Highlights: The breakfast was one of the most delicious I’ve had with a small assortment of pastries, breads, coffee, yogurt, orange juice, but perhaps the best part was the order of one entree that is either an omelette or French Toast. The omelette and French Toast are actually full breakfast meals in it of themselves. We left completely full and ready to start the day. Lowlights: The pool that was accessible to the main area was actually quite chilly, leaving it uncomfortable to use for winter. In addition, the loungers were fully covered and only uncovered on request which made it a bit uninviting during the day. The warming pool was wonderful, although it was an Adults Only section. I would highly consider this to be modified to include kids if the main pool isn’t heated above 85 degrees during the winter. Room: Comfortably large and well-appointed. Based on the hotel class and price I would’ve expected bidet toilets. The front door allows for curtains to be fully drawn, but the curtain sticks used to draw them are positioned at the wrong end of the door making opening/closing the front door quite irritating if you want privacy. They bonk you in the head each time. Would recommend switching the sticks to the other side.

This is a great hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here. The hotel was beautifully maintained. The only area for implement would be the breakfast. The food was great quality but the service was not. The woman serving was quite rude. It was a Saturday morning and busy. Perhaps more employees were required but regardless the woman was rude. It was difficult to order breakfast and uncomfortable to ask for anything.
