My only complaint is the road to get to the container villa is so obviously made for a one way but the kurokawa onsen village decided that traffic can struggle to figure out who has the right of way and reverse in the middle of the road… very dangerous but any who.. The actual container villa was such a vibe from the moment I pulled into the parking lot. So convenient that they had signs pointing to where I needed to go to check in and instructions in both the email and the tablet used to check in. They even had english available. Not to mention they had Louis Armstrong playing in the parking lot which gave me such a nostalgic feeling. Very wholesome experience. The kurokawa onsen area is such a quaint vibe combined with the villa’s modern take on a nostalgic past time in America. 10/10 experience. I would definitely revisit!

Things to consider before booking this place

Caution to staying here. Pros: almost secluded with nature; very nice storage container changed into a good mobile home stay; self operated. Cons: NO shuttle/taxi/bus services to this lodging. (I even asked the manager/ possibly owner female Japanese woman, if she could give me a ride to the closest bus stop for the airport limousine bus pickup. This stop is at the VERY beginning of the ENTIRE area of onsens in Kurokawa onsens. The so-called bus stop that’s 2 minutes away from the lodging is out of service until 08/2025! This walk is 19 minutes without luggage! More with luggages and hills :) any who the woman I asked l smiled at me and said “no, thank you” and shooed me off.) Customer service is NON-Existence at container villa. Long story short on this MEGA con, get yourself a car because the little shops are far and open selected days. Bus doesn’t run that much over at the area they ONLY take CASH YEN. No IC CARDS started 11/15/2024. If you’re coming from Kumamoto city area there are only 2 buses that come out there… just get a car to go to kurokawa. Another CON: there is no lock on the female onsen door, which needs to be one AND a better dividing section of changing to get into onsen. Felt uncomfortable knowing anyone could pull the door open and can see everything from the outside in. Last con for me, but kind of expected the internet was very very VERY spotty. Hope you’re not relying on strong internet because that’s not the case if you have work stuff to complete.

무인 숙소. 그렇지만 어메니티 다 있고, 체크인 과정도 간편해서 편했어요. 컨테이너 박스라고 하지만 외부도 내부도 깔끔하고 세련됐어요. 벽도 좀 두꺼운 것 같고, 단열도 그리 나쁘지 않아보이고, 화장실에 샤워실까지 완비. 잠옷도 있고 물도 넣어주네요. 굿. 이 숙소의 자그마한 욕장도 좋고, 여기서 머물면서 온천마패를 통해 쿠로카와 온천 일주를 하는 것도 정말 즐거워요. 조금 멀고 높은 데 있어서 올라가기 힘들지만 많이 돌아다닐 거 아니니까 ㄱㅊ아요.

思った以上に狭かったです 黒川温泉には始めて行きましたが あまり飲食店はなく、少し行ったとこのスーパーでいろいろ買って食べました！！ 冷食の自販機などあれば便利かな～と思いました！！あとコーヒーは、インスタントが置いてありましたが、不味くて飲めませんでした コーヒー好きの方は持っていくのをお勧めします

コンテナなので仕方ないかもですが、歩くと揺れたりベッドもギシギシする感じはありました💦お風呂の表記も、部屋にはシャワーのみで男女分かれた半露天がお部屋とは別にあります。の表記があって欲しかった。 家族風呂も希望！ ただ、お風呂自体は凄く良かった✨️ 清潔で掃除も行き届いてました✨️

객실 엄청 깨끗하고 좋아요. 운전해서 가다보면 '설마 여기야?'하는데 거기.맞습니다. 엄청 언덕 위에 있어요. 코우노유 료칸 바로 옆이에요. 쿠로카와 마을에서도 손꼽히는 노천탕입니다. 여기 이용하세요~~ 숙소 노천탕도 좋습니다. 오전 7시~9시, 오후 3시~9시 사용가능해요. 전망 최고에요~~ 직원없이 보내주신 내용으로 셀프치크인인데 어려움은 없습니다.

ツーリングの途中に泊まる宿として利用させていただきました。 お部屋は清潔で室内も広く、ゆっくり過ごすことができました。 チェックインは無人機で行うタイプで（チェックアウトは特に何もありません）スタッフの方とやり取りをする必要はなかったのですが、バイクで来たとわかると夜露に濡れない場所を教えに管理人さんが部屋まで来てくれたりと、親切に対応をしていただきました。 近隣に食事や買い物をする施設がほぼない（16時前後で全て閉まる）ため、夕食及び次の日の朝食を含めて準備をしっかりしておかないと大変なことと（コカコーラの自販機はあるので、ジュースやお茶等の飲み物は夜中でも買えます）、温泉が21時までしか使えないのが残念でしたが、湯治で数日過ごす…等でなければ快適に過ごせる宿だと思いました。（あと、冬季感は夜少し寒いかもしれません…） ツーリング等で立ち寄ることがあれば、また利用させていただきたいと思います。

まだ新しく清潔で、シャワーやトイレはもちろん、電子レンジや冷蔵庫もあり、快適でした。ただ、ベッドやテーブルのの組み立てが悪く、連結部が外れかけたりぐらぐらしていたりして、今後はどうなのかと思いました。でも、黒川温泉の街中へも徒歩で行けなくはない立地ながら、無駄を省いてコスパのよい宿を目指すというコンセプトには共感できました。

施設は、綺麗で快適。 ただ季節によっては気温が低く、暖房を最強にして寝ないと夜中に寒くて目がさめる。 15分程で、スーパーも馬肉を売ってるお肉屋さんもあり、充分楽しめます。 料金も、お手頃で　満足のお宿です。
