Coolest place on Orange Beach. Built in 1924 the character and homeyness was just what we wanted. The manager was sensational, her breakfast menu deserves a Michelin star. It’s an old place, but so well maintained we thoroughly enjoyed this bed and breakfast!

It is getting harder to find a unique vacation spot that is quiet and still has a view of the ocean from the back porch. It is so convenient to the beach, shopping, and dining but is not in the middle of the chaos. Lilia, the innkeeper is exceptional! Breakfast was incredible. Perfectly charming Bed and Breakfast!

Our stay at Romar B&B was wonderful! Our room was comfortable and so clean! Lilia is an attentive and gracious host. She made a delicious breakfast everyday and provided an afternoon gathering for wine and cheese on weekends. The pool is perfect but the beach is beautiful…white sands and blue water. You could it ask for more. We are already planning our next trip.

My husband Rob and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing place on the panhandle and we are so blessed to have found this one. I cannot say enough about this place and the team! Lillia is a treasure and you can tell her passion is in making this place shine and her guests feel welcome. Went to see a show but wanted to stay somewhere besides a hotel. This was a great find. The inn keeper Lilia was amazing. She is super friendly and made us feel right at home instantly. She made great breakfast every morning. For Mother’s Day she went the extra mile to make it even more special. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway or if you’re going to a concert at the Wharf.

Let me start by saying, we will definitely be back!! But... if you're looking for new and fancy, this isn't your stop! It's an old house so it has lots of imperfections, but we rather enjoyed the charm and the character; it doesn't have to be perfect and new for us to enjoy. You're basically in a house with some other couples, so the setting lends itself to lots of friendly chatter over breakfast (and Oh! What a Breakfast Lilia makes!!!), and quiet, peaceful relaxation. I'm told the "suite" has a TV, but none of the other rooms do. Our room did not, and initially I was a little disappointed with that but soon realized there was a selection of books that occupied my evenings in a most peaceful way. The hostess, Lilian, is amazing! - she literally makes every effort to please her guest, and she's doing a fantastic job. She serves an incredible afternoon wine and charcuterie board offering on the wknds at 4 pm that everyone always gathers for, with very generous pours! No kids are allowed, so it's quiet! You can spend you day by the beautiful pool or, it's just a short ( & level) boardwalk to the beach, where you can rent chairs & umbrella for $50/day. The Original Romar House was a respite for us and we LOVED it- but I know, it would not be for everyone.

We loved our stay at the Original Romar House. Exactly what we were looking for. We don't like the big, crowded tower hotels. The Original Romar house is nice quaint little old style bed and breakfast. Easy access to the beach. Nice little patio and pool. Lily, the host is amazing. Every morning we had an amazing breakfast. She even made special options for my gluten free wife. If you want something a little less commercial and more intimate, I cant recommend the Original Romar house enough. My wife already wants to plan our return trip.

Breakfast every day was amazing. My husband is now going to expect French toast casserole, homemade waffles, peach cobbler and apple crisp!! The innkeeper is delightful and very eager to please. Our room was facing the ocean but because it was downstairs there was no view. But the deck upstairs more than made up for it. Coffee every morning in a rocking chair overlooking the water. Paradise!
