Nice, quiet settlng. Friendly, helpful staff. Very basic accommodations. But clean and comfortable. Breakfast area could be nicer-food was ok but chairs and trash cans were dirty. We just needed a place to sleep; not looking for fancy.

Pretty good hotel for the price. Clean, employees were kind and it was quiet. Could use some updating as some items are showing their age.

Had a good rapport w/ owner and his staff. Staff was excellent even when the owner was not around. Relatively new ownership that is steadily making improvements to the property. Easy access to the property and pleasant city and downtown business community.

Great Customer Service

We were greeted warmly by one of the owners and he gave an upgraded room which was very nice. The location was great for our needs. The rooms are outdated but comfortable. The breakfast that was included had very little to offer - cereal, Belgium waffles, a few bagels, there were only two yogurts in the refrigerator.

I travel a lot for work and spend a lot of time in hotels . So I have a lot of experience with good and bad hotels. This Room was clean and tidy. Staff was very helpful. I found the bed to be one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. One thing I absolutely hate with hotels is clogged drains. In this case, bit the tub and the sink drains were clear and water readily drained with no accumulation.

Service with a smile

I was arriving quite late & had a couple of special requests so I wouldn't have to do much walking. The manager was waiting for me & had reserved a room that was fairly close to the door, on the first floor, & had even reserved a parking spot for me right next to the door! He even greeted me & helped me bring in what I needed from the car! The room was very clean, breakfast was fine, & the price was fair.

2/10 Poor

Manager very unprofessional and rude. Gave us the wrong room and tried to argue about it. Told us not to ask for help if we needed it. Room was nice itself and comfortable.

4/10 Fair

I had high hopes. The motel had recently been taken over by new owners and they were proudly promoting some of the things they had replaced. The man who checked us in was very welcoming and spoke to us every time we ran into each other. The first night was decent, except the shower curtain was filthy with mildew. The rest of the room felt and smelled clean. The refrigerator did not work, but I was willing to consider they were still in the remodeling stage. However, when we returned to our room the next day (evening) we discovered we had no room service. I went to the desk to inquire and could not find anyone, even though I tried several times. When we woke up the next morning, we tried the front desk again at 6:30 a.m. No one was there and it was supposed to be open at 6:00 for breakfast. When they finally opened, we requested fresh towels and asked why we didn't get room service. They said they would not provide room service unless we specifically requested it. That would have been nice to know when we arrived. We will be returning to De Witt next May to see our granddaughter graduate, but I will gladly pay the extra for AmericInn.

Our stay at this property was like staying with family. The owners are very friendly and they made sure we didn't want for anything. The property was newly rehabbed, the beds were comfortable and the property was clean.

This hotel was a welcome place to stay for a quick overnight trip. The bed was comfortable, the AC cool and quiet, and I enjoyed the bench seat in the shower. There were lots of TV choices with Direct TV. I met the owner, Harry, at breakfast. He was very friendly and accommodating. I had stayed at this hotel with the previous owner, and it was apparent that many upgrades were made. I would recommend this hotel for all travelers.
