Nice place! Comfortable room. Water pressure was great! Water warmed up very quickly! The man that checked us in was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area! He answered our questions and gave us information about various sights! It is an older property, yet well maintained.

After 14 years in the coffee industry, I can say the attention to detail on the coffee quality at the Padre was impressive - better than any motel or hotel I've ever stayed. Comfortable beds are also important, and we found the bed was very comfortable.

The room was clean with nice linens and pillows. The microwave and fridge worked perfectly. The toiletries were nice since so many places don't supply those any more. The location is central to many activities in the area. The proprietor was friendly and extremely helpful.

A nice place to stay. Great host, who went out of his way to be helpful. A large comfortable room. Right in the centre of Escalante, which is a relatively quiet, easy to like town. Close to the grocers and places to eat. Very good coffee in the room and well appointed bathroom. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows.

This is a little gem in a great location - don’t let the old-fashioned appearance deceive you. Just sorry we were only there for one night, because it would be a great home base for exploring the area. We had two small bedrooms and a sitting area for our family of 3, which felt luxurious. Beds were comfortable and the property was spotless. The Keurig coffee maker with real half and half was a real bonus. Best place we’ve stayed on this trip!

It’s a modest roadside motel in a wonderful location for hiking and experiencing the amazing Grand Staircase. Nespresso machine in the room with unlimited coffee pods and small fridge were useful and appreciated. Owner/manager, Charles, is very kind and helpful. Great TV and near several good eateries. Super clean. Decent shower. Very good value. I plan on staying there again someday.
