I had driven 3 hours from Fredericksburg to stay at La Quinta in Roanoke, as I had an important exam to take Friday morning. After struggling to connect to the hotel's "complimentary" wifi for nearly half an hour, I got in contact with a hotel representative over the phone. I was met with the news that the hotel's internet was down for everyone, not just me. He told me there was nothing he could do and to just wait. This was very unfortunate for me because I could have done some last-minute studying prior to my exam, but this required me to have internet access. I let both the evening and the morning receptionists know of the issue when I first checked in & was checking out, but both seemed dismissive and didn't seem to take this matter seriously. Other than this, the AC window unit in my room was noticeably loud as I was trying to sleep. I had it set to Low Automatic Cooling, but it was still hard to stay asleep due to the excessive noise. The room was beautiful & clean, but my experience would have been more enjoyable had the staff been more courteous & my sleep been more adequate.

The room had 2 Queen-sized beds. Very small and compact. No table or chairs. The bathroom included a shower with shampoo and liquid wash soap. The staff was helpful. We had a view of the parking lot and was enough space to park the pickup truck and trailer. I traveled with my pets and we felt kind of cramped. There was a very small pet walking area. I did request a first floor with 2 queens but unable to get that. If you do not mind a very small efficiency room it’s good comfortable sleeping. The free breakfast was ok.

Brand new hotel with large and spacious rooms. I was in a king size room with an extremely comfortable and large bed. The furniture is new. The bathroom is clean and new. The cleanliness is perfect. This hotel was amazing! I’ve never stayed in such a new hotel before and it exceeded my expectations. My room was spectacular, the shower was amazing, and the body wash smelled so good. I had woken up very early to study for a final exam and came to the lobby at 5am. The front desk clerk was so kind and accommodating!! I would recommend this hotel if anyone is staying in Roanoke!
