The staff were lovely and the breakfasts were scrumptious, even had their evening meals on both nights, which were beautifully cooked and very generous in portions. Would stay here again.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant excellent, breakfast OK. No Netflix in our room, which was advertised, but not that important. Only there one night but the village looked nice. Overall, would warmly recommend the hotel.

Great place with slightly wacky decor. Very social bar and a lovely evening. Dinner and breakfast were both working to a reduced list for some reason and both dinner and breakfast were not startling. Perhaps due to a busy week.

The lion is a lovely hotel, clean, quiet, quirky in a delightful little village but still having everything you need. Prices were normal for food and drink, not o.t.t. and dogs welcome too. Would recommend this to travellers.
