Worst motel experience in my entire life
I don’t expect frills or incredible service but our stay here was horrendous. First, the AC was off when we arrived. it was 95 degrees outside and the room was sweltering. There was what looked like feces smeared on the wall and floor by the AC. The rest of the room seemed clean enough and our kid was ready for sleep so we stayed. I didn’t notice the dirty sheets (it wasn’t a stain, it looked like a spill that hadn’t been cleaned or changed) until after my child was asleep. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable but not unusual for a motel 6, we were able to sleep. When I showered in the morning I noticed what looked like blood stains on the shower curtain. The towels had rips in them. The toilet literally shrieked for a full minute every time it was flushed. We had to stay an additional night because we had no other available arrangements. It has been quiet the night before so we thought at least it’s a place to sleep. Until the room next door dropped off somewhere from 6-12 dogs and left for the evening. The dogs howled from midnight-4:30am and there was nothing that could be done by the motel staff. We did not sleep at all before our out of state drive the next morning. When I spoke to the manager he was apologetic about the dogs but when I brought up the other problems he accused me of lying and was incredibly rude and dismissive. There was a woman in the lobby complaining about being harassed all night by other guests and from the response it sounds like this is common.
