Great visit

I've stayed at this location before in one of the small cabins. This time, it was such a lovely time of year that I just used one of the tents. The tent was much better than I expected. There was a memory foam mattress on a low platform bed instead of the cot showing in the photo.

Rustic is putting it gently

The place is quiet and the scenery is beautiful, but the rooms are badly in need of repair and maintenance. Windows didn't work, no mirror in the bathroom, the room was full of cobwebs, light bulbs were burned out, etc.... also an animal was living in the walls or eaves and made noise all night. You might as well stay in a tent!

Ehh

No tv or fridge in premium cabins. Very small room, barely space for luggage. Floor was filthy…used a towel to wipe it down and it was black. Lots of flies in room(space under AC they were clearly getting in) and ants in the sink. WiFi only right in store/on porch of it. Convenient location for Death Valley and friendly staff but not quite as advertised. Very soft bed.

“Rustic” comfortable stay.

Stayed in a cabin which, although small, was perfectly adequate & comfortable. It was located near a small man-made stream with lush vegetation: a real birding hotspot. Nearby restaurant/bar was good and another plus, and the location was great for attractions in and near the west side of Death Valley.

Great location in Death Valley

Liked the location. Restaurant was good and had fast internet. No internet in cabin. Would have been nice to have a hook to hang clothes.

This was such a great experience. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. It is about a 40-ish min. drive from the park which was the only downside. There is no microwave or fridge so if we bring food I recommend an ice chest. There is a firepit so i recommend bringing your own firewood. I would definitely come again

Family weekend trip

We stayed in a bunk cabin for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The bathroom was equipped with soap and shampoo, lots of towels and washcloths were available and everything was clean. The EV charger was right in front of our cabin which was very convenient for us. The restaurant serves excellent food, we enjoyed breakfast and dinner, and the people were all really nice. We could stay again!

Drive to Ridgecrest, CA or Stovepipe Wells, CA in

My son and I arrived first and wandered the area to also explore the desert area. We immediately used the bathrooms and were "disgusted." It looked like an animal used them before us. A porter-potty at a truck stop was more cleaner. We also noticed the gas prices were more expensive than "Stovepipe Wells" which was 20 minutes away. Thankfully, we filled up in Beatty, NV. We went into the "General Store" to look around and the prices were way over-inflated to be polite. We attempted to check in to our yurt tent and was informed that housekeeping had to go through it first and come back in an hour. We wandered more. We came back and the associate looked like a dear in a headlight. But remembered my name. He stated "it wasn't ready." And his feet dragged more. I then explained to cancel the reservation and we'll drive the 1 hour to Ridgecrest, CA. He just shrugged his shoulders and made no effort to encourage us to stay. We left and i was still billed on my credit card. On the positive, we left and stayed in Ridgecrest, CA in civilization with a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, and a staff who welcomed us in with open arms. (Motel 6, Ridgecrest, CA). One hour from this so-called facility.

It looks like a rundown property. Kinda scary. With the amount they charge, you’ll be way better off to stay at the ranch at Death Valley. However, the restaurant server was exceptional. I would love to dine there but not stay there.
