The hotel itself was very charming. We had a nice comfortable room with a balcony that viewed the river. Also, it was very close to the hot springs and lots of fun restaurants and shops. They provide you a nice breakfast at a the time you'd like and have luggage storage for while at Machu Picchu. However, the service is not great. When we arrived there was an error with our reservation. They claimed it was cancelled and our booked room was not available even though I received an email a few days prior from Hotels.com saying my booking. We were able to get 2 double rooms instead of our room for 4, but they wanted to charge us for 2. I told the man at the front desk that 2 rooms was fine, but I should only pay the price for the one room I was quoted. He became confused and some how though I was unhappy with the rooms. Eventually, I got him to understand that we were completely fine with 2 rooms instead of one and we just weren't paying more for their mistake and he honored our price. Also, when we went to get our luggage from storage, we sat around for a long time waiting for an unknown reason. So, make sure to be very sure you need the luggage now when you go to get it. Overall, the hotel itself was very nice and comfortable, just the communication with the staff is difficult.
