Very Good 8.0
This hotel is in a location similar to a neighborhood, so it gives it a quieter safer feel. The hotel is nice and quaint and you have access to most sites from their location. It is about a ten minute walk from the metro and Piazza del Popolo. The service is great at Albergo with the staff being very helpful and informative about things to do and places to go. I never had any issues with their friendliness and always felt welcome. Their staff has decent English skills, and even if they do not they work well with working it out. They do require you to turn your key in every time you leave the property, which is weird but it also meant I had no worries of losing it while I was out on the town. They also lock up after a certain time so you have to be let in if you come back late or leave. The room was clean and simple and it was easily relaxing. Their television also had an option that allowed me to watch in English. It gave me the opportunity to relax once I got back to my room instead of just going straight to bed, because of my lack of Italian.

Wonderful new hotel
Perfect new hotel with wonderful staff. They are just getting started and about to open a restaurant on site. All the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable and reliable. They gave a wonderful restaurant suggestion nearby! Authentic neighborhood spot where we were the only tourists. They arranged for transportation to and from the airport which was a godsend. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Could use a few more pillows and the beds were very firm but very nice overall. Perfect air conditioning and strong hot shower for washing off the grime of sightseeing all day in 90°+ heat. It's about a 7 or 8 minute walk to the metro and Piazza del Popolo. From there you can easily walk to Trevi fountain or the Spanish steps if you want to walk and enjoy Rome. Super safe at night. My daughter and I never felt unsafe in Rome. It is not in a touristy neighborhood so if you want to stay in a quieter neighborhood, this is a great choice.

Wow, what a gem
Awesome staff, very friendly, always smiling. Great location, close to Piazza del Popolo, 20 mins walking distance to the Vatican and also the old city. Very nice and modern rooms with great air. We will definitely stay again there!

Similar to other reviews of Hotel Etico, this is a fairly new hotel so all the furnishings are practically brand new. The room and bathroom is spacious and the hotel is not far from the metro and bus stop. The service was amazing and all the staff were happy to help with any request. Breakfast area was still under construction when we stayed so we got the croissants and coffee as well but this did not bother us as we wanted to try the local cuisine. As stated in other reviews it can noisy in the morning as you are next to Main Street. Overall a very pleasant stay and happily recommend.
