Property is fine, spacious and clean. The access is difficult, with Gornergratbahn stopping rarely at LegendÀhr so most of the time we ended up hiking. No. 17 is scarcely furnished given its size. The internet is slow, bordering poor. The television does not offer streaming and screen mirroring did not work. Pool and jaccuzi were enjoyable.
The place itself is fine, clean and the staff very friendly. We were disappointed with the transport up and down, very inconvenient for skiing and access to the town.
We stayed 6 days and did not get any refill of anything even though they told us they would.
The trains down the mountain stop at 2:10pm and donât stop at the hotel after that. This is very inconvenient. The comment on the site that it is âsteps away from the gondola is a lieâ - overall I would not recommend the place due to the inaccessibility of the place.
This property is great and would have given it 5 stars but it literally requires you 'to hike' to get to the property from the street. Otherwise, it'll cost you a considerable amount of money via the Gornergrat Railway (15 USD every time). This adds up quickly if you decide to visit the town (to eat, shop and etc).
Additionally, there is no laundry equipment (washing machine / dryer) available to tenants directly.
Property is not accessible through road as it is on the hill and no road is leading to there. You have to take the Gornergrat train for one station to reach the property. Ticket cost is CHF17 one way which is quite costly.
Flat 16 does not have any view to Matterhorn so avoid booking this one to avoid disappointment.
Flat is clean and properly manager is very helpful.
Our overall stay was ok. A few notes that made the stay difficult was the livingroom area. There was plenty of room for two normal sofas and there was one sofa bed which was very uncomfortable. We found ourselves sitting in chairs that were outdoor chairs and also super uncomfortable. The location was good and bad. The train is right there which is awesome but it only stops there every hour and after 625pm even less frequent. You do have a path you can walk from the back exit but with small kids that need strollers itâs steep and the 3&4 year old would get too tired by the time we got to the bottom to go any further. Would stay here again when the children get a bit older and only if the sofa situation changes because in the evenings it was difficult to hang out
The property was spacious, had beautiful views of the Matterhorn, and the pool and jacuzzi was relaxing after a long day skiing.
Take the Gornegrat Bahn to and from the property, as it's much easier than walking up and down the path.
I would definitely recommend LegendÀr to my friends.
+ Outside View
+ Well Equipped
+ Quick Check In
+ Clean
- Long and steep way to closest grocery shop or Zermat Centre
- In this price/rating segment I would not expect putting on the bedclothes myself
- Pool needs to be booked
