Amazing location with only minor negatives

My 13-year-old nephew and I stayed at Athens21. The location is perfect for easy access to everywhere we wanted to go as first-time Athens tourists. The included breakfast at the adjacent restaurant was also quite good with three choices: Continental, Sweet and Greek. The shower was excellent with great flow. The staff was all helpful when asked for information, too. It would have been nice to be reminded of the rooftop patio for viewing the Acropolis, but we eventually discovered it on our own. There were a few minor downfalls pf Athens21 worth mentioning for the picky traveler: 1. The most significant issue is that were having warmer weather than usual, but it wasn’t season for air conditioning to be available yet. 2. Opening the window to attempt to cool the room heightened the loudness of the nonstop street noise. 3. The rollaway bed was naturally uncomfortable. 4. There wasn’t an alarm clock or wakeup service, so your cell phone alarm clock is the onky option. With those points acknowledged, I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Great hotel

This was a lovely hotel for one night following a cruise. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, and got us into a room hours before the official check in time. The included breakfast next door was very good. We were facing the road and there is some road noise, as it is very centrally located, but it wasn’t too intrusive. The rooftop terrace was lovely.

Very good budget hotel for family and couple. Close to everything. After the cruise, we reserved two standard rooms for our stay (window is facing the street and it is quite noisy at night. I used the earplugs and it helped). The rooms are quite roomy for the European hotel standard; I liked the bathroom with good hot and pressure from rain shower head. The front desk staffs were phenomenon. They are friendly, courteous and professional, especially the beautiful warm hearted lady name Georgia. Georgia made our stay in Athens more memorable as it was our first time to Athens. I would stay at the Athens 21 again. Thank you to all the staffs at Athens 21.

We had a spacious suite with kitchenette on the 6th floor. Good sized walk in shower with plenty of hot water. We had no issues with noise even though it was on a busy street. The roof-top terrace was lovely with a view to the Acropolis. As we had disembarked from a cruise, we arrived at the hotel before 10 a.m., we were able to leave our bags on the 1st floor where there was a coffee machine and washroom. After going to watch the changing of the guards, we returned just after 12 noon and our room was ready. The two ladies and gentleman at the reception were very friendly and helpful. If breakfast was included, a voucher was provided each morning for the cafe next door, which provided several choices. On our last morning as we were being picked up for the airport at 6 a.m., we were provided with a breakfast box the night before, which we were able to eat before we left. Would have no hesitation about staying at Hotel 21 if we are back in Athens.

Good choice of hotel.

Room spacious and clean.reception staff friendly and gave good advice. Breakfast choice at cafe below hotel very good and view from roof terrace magnificent. Free coffee from residents lounge on 1st floor and as not licenced own drink can be bought from supermarket across road. As a bonus the position of the hotel is central to amenities and close to station for airport.

The perfect place to stay in Athens !

We absolutely loved staying at Athens 21 as the location was perfect for the metro and for sightseeing. We booked the room with the Acropolis view and it certainly didn’t disappoint, wow, what a view! The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast provided at the cafe downstairs was fabulous, and plentiful! A huge thank you to Georgina and Spiros, both gave wonderful recommendations on where to go and were just so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Would highly recommend this accommodation and if we return to Athens we would 100% stay here again.
