Great location. Very nice standard room, and quiet despite looking onto Central station. Functional windows which is great for those like me who dislike recycled air. Hotel and room very clean. Very friendly staff (reception and cleaners). Fabulous health facilities (pool, sauna, hammer, changing rooms) and gym. Why did I not give the top rate for my stay? because the room has a kettle and instant coffee and tea. As I am staying for 5 nights, I asked if I could get a proper coffee maker (I saw the pods on the maids' cart), but was told that I had to choose a business class room to get it. Now, there is no business class but I guess the clerk meant a superior room. Now, this could seem like a feeble reason to downrate the stay but pod-type coffee makers (such as Keurig) are now standard even in much lower quality hotels. Plus, with the difference of rate between the two types of rooms over 5 nights I could buy my own coffee maker. I know that it is a detail especially as it could be argued that I could go down to the hotel café or the Starbucks (located in the same building). However, I really would like the option of having my cup of coffee before getting ready for my day. To be honest, my beef is as much with the refusal to let me have a coffee maker as it is with the arrogance of the young man at the desk. If you are not too fussed about instant coffee, I recommend the hotel whole-heartedly; I however am unlikely to book here again next year.

Good 6.0
50% but could be 100% is they pulled it together.
This hotel has the possibility to be wonderful but lacks so many important touches. Arrived at 1 pm we were told that our room was available but as check in was from 3pm we would have to pay €30 if we wanted it immediately. Of course we didn’t pay and left our luggage with reception. The room, a superior was really nice and the beds are fantastic! The bathroom is old style and hasn’t been updated to match the room but still good. Unfortunately our room was an adjoining room. Our “ neighbors” smoked joints and the smell completely filled our room. We decided to knock and inform them rather than report them to reception ( a €200 fee for smoking in the room). They also came back at 2 am and face timed loudly for 40 minutes before we knocked again. I would strongly advise insisting on not having an adjoining room unless you are all from the same group. The pool area is ok but a little tired. The gym is good and quite large for a hotel. We were given a voucher for 15%off at the bar or restaurant so after a night out we decided to have a drink at the bar. We also wanted to order food but it wasn’t possible. We were told the voucher was only off drink when purchased with food. This was not what the voucher stated but anyway it was more about the tone of voice from the staff that was annoying. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff there really attentive. A lot of the floors are wooden but where there is carpet it is very obvious that it is not hoovered on a daily basis. Overall OK.

Great view from our room
Great location and great view-if you get the side facing the train station, which we did! If possible maybe try to request a room facing the train station, it definitely makes waking up in the morning feel nicer..
