Expediaで検索しても、ウルムチのホテルはあまり出てこないが、現地に行くと恐ろしいくらいたくさんある。このホテルもリーズナブルな価格という面では選択肢の一つであるが、さがせばもっといいところがありそうだ。
クレジットカードによる事前決済なのに、デポジットで現金200元預けないといけません。もちろん戻ってきますが、違和感あり。中国の習慣でしょうか？

安くて便利なホテルはもっとあります。
空港からのリムジンバスの下車場所からも遠い。
フロントは中国語のみ（英語はカタコト）
低い階は外の騒音がうるさいです。（ルームチェンジを希望したが満室とのことで断られた。）
現地で飛び込みで入ったホテルの方が豪華で安かった。
ホテルの近くには易いレストランと飲み物が買える店があるが、観光に便利かというとそうでもない。次にウルムチで泊まるなら紅山公園の方に宿をとると思います。
ホテルの１Fの旅行会社は、まったく使えない対応。近くの大きなホテルで対応してもらいました。

Ok for the price
Room is ok and only acceptable because of the cheap price. But after bringing in some fresh air the smell was nearly gone. Rooms are old and not maintained. Staff is very friendly but no english.

かなり老朽化が進んでます。
最初、外観を見た時はボロくてちょっと衝撃を受けましたが、宿泊自体は特に問題なかったです。かなり老朽化しているホテルなので「寝るだけだし」と割り切るなら良いような気がします。トイレの水もちゃんと流れるし、シャワーの温度調整や水圧も問題ありません。ただトイレとシャワーブースが近いのでかなり狭かったです。立地も特に便利というわけでもなく、不便というわけでもなく…。バス停が前にあるので何処に行くのもバスに乗ってしまえば料金は一緒なので特に不便は感じませんでした。ホテルの前にはいくつかの庶民的な食堂があってかなり安く美味しい麺やシシカバブが食べられました。

Обсолютно убитый отель, ни вкоем случае, даже бесплатно не стоит в нем останавливатся, грязь полнейшая, не отель - общага причем не самая лучшая. Провел там одну ночь и съехал.

Green Tree Inn - Urumqi
Staff were polite and very helpful, despite us not being able to communicate! Room was at the rear of the hotel which meant that there was no traffic noise, but the muezzin at the mosque, which is about 100m away from the window did wake us up during the first adhān of the day.... if you need to stay asleep at dawn then you might prefer the front of the building! Personally, I found the muezzin a good one and enjoyed being woken up briefly by the adhān.
Location is excellent, very central and easy to walk to most of the interesting Urumqi sites, Uyghur area etc.
Overall, I would rate the hotel highly for anyone looking for a good central place to stay in Urumqi. Non-smokers be aware that there is little awareness in China of the harm or discomfort of tobacco or passive smoking, so be prepared to experience smoking in the non-smoking lobby, smoking in the non-smoking corridors and smoking in the non-smoking lift/elevator.
Other than that, a great hotel experience.

Green Tree Inn Urumqi - not the cheapest but good
The hotel is decently located in the northern reach of Xinhua Nanlu, one of the central street in Urumqi. The rooms I got (I stayed there twice actually, on the way there and back) were very clean (although a faint smell of WC pervaded the room the second time around), spacious, well-equipped (I was shocked to find even some rather intimate supplies in the bathroom), the price may seem high for China but compared to european ratings it's still a steal (pardon the pun) at very comparable comfort level.
Some of the staff speaks English for the time when my Chinese failed me, it's also a bonus.

Hotel Chinese standard. The room stank of cigarettes. The bathroom water flowed poorly. But the room clean and the overall positive impression.

Decent
Not a bad place, the room was very clean and I was happy with everything overall.
However, do note that the location of this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It will cost you 50-60 RMB (each way) to get here by taxi (the only way). So do budget that cost if you are considering staying here. It might be better to go with the Tianyuan Hotel a stone's throw from the airport if you are only transiting or have no interest in seeing the city.

при выезде персонал попытался с нас взять деньги за то что на полотенце остался небольшой след от косметики и взяли кстати ... юань, хотя по нашему мнению стирка белья оплачивается гостями
