The location was great. Easy to get to the main attractions in Sintra. The breakfast was nice especially a great view in the dinning area. I liked the extra large bed! The rooms are older and worn, it needs an update! Even though it was summer weather in November , the heat was on! Didn’t sleep well the first night bec it was stuffy and warm. Second night, we turned off the heat and kept the window open to let the cool air in. We sat on the varanda in the evening, which was nice. Also, at 2:20 am was woken up with loud noise, like construction, but it was the recycling truck picking up trash, recycle glass and other stuff! Wow was it loud! Wish they warned you or had sound proof windows like the hotel we stayed at in Porto. Over all it was okay, I’m on the fence if I’d stay there again.

I couldn't fly to Lisbon on Monday due to the floods in Barcelona, my flight was cancelled and impossible to get another one. I informed inmediately the hotel to get the refund and cancel the room. The hotel told me that they can't refund it and didn't give me any other option, e.g. for another day. I will not book again a room there. Price was 122,80 euros.

Honestly, I am surprised this is a 4 star hotel. The good: you can't ask for a better location. Right in the historic center with gorgeous views in every direction. Not too far from the train station and a -15 minute walk from the Quinta da Regaleira. Restaurants and cafés practically at your doorstep. The balcony offered a stunning view of the hills. The bad: staff was indifferent, at best. The room had mould! Mould in the corners of the bathroom, on the balcony curtains. Stains on the walls- particularly concerning, black and brown stains on the wall next to the toilet. Black scuff marks in the bathtub, hair in the grout. The heater would only blow cold and the insulation was poor so it was a chilly night. Not that I could have slept well on a mattress that was pure springs and a frame that moved every time I did. And for an extortinate €19, a breakfast on par with something you'd find included at a chain hotel in the States.

This hotel was s located just 200 feet away from the central historical square of Sintra. If one arrives with a rental car the special passcode from the hotel is needed to enter the area.. The standard rooms are clean and neat even though a bit tight. Breakfast has many options based on your preference.

Great hotel very near the town center.
Great location, just a short walk to the town center. The room was spacious for two people. I booked a suite since my husband and I flew in from California and we weren't on a good sleep schedule. The larger room allowed us to sleep (or be awake) without disturbing the other. The room itself was quite nice and well appointed. Happy we chose this place.

Hard to get to. Once there you must park. But you can walk to everything. Parking was fine outside hotel. It’s extra $$$ Front desk check in service was horrible. No help or explanation we asked three times about parking before we could understand. Our key cards didn’t work TWICE and we had to go back to front desk. The elevators were awful. Most times didn’t come. Waited too long so went to stairs. We stayed at five different hotels while in Portugal. This was the most uncomfortable bed. We unfortunately had booked two nights. Second night I had to sleep on pillows. Also couldn’t sleep because there was some extremely loud AC or condenser unit outside close to our patio door and it never shut off… door closed and ear plugs could still hear it. The room we had was view behind hotel. It was not a nice site. Run down apartments or buildings.
