    Best Chicago Hotel
The hotel was awesome, Allison, the front desk receptionist was tremendous! I can not say enough good things about this hotel. I am not paid to write this. We attended Chicago to see the Irish - Italy rugby match at Soldier Field on Saturday Nov. 3, 2018. The location was spectacular.... right on Wacker, I could lob a baseball into the Chicago river from the circular driveway of the hotel! The room was clean, updated and everything we needed was there. The roof top patio bar outside on the fourth floor had a billion dollar night time view! Let me paint you a picture... (I love swimming and the pool and work out facilities were excellent.) As I was toweling off beside my lounge chair, I happen to look out the 3rd floor window and watch as an El train passed by the 50 foot high neon lit iconic "Chicago" sign....does it get any more of a tourist vision than that???!! Oh, of course, you couldn't hear the lumbering ol' subway car that was 30 feet away from the window because .....the pool area windows were so well insulated... Did I mention that I am not paid to write this review, yet I am a traveler who has high expectations of a stay, and I am happy to pay if the facilities are good and the staff well-trained. This hotel, on 1 Wacker West..has these qualities and more. I have been to Chicago at least a dozen times, all times driving 10 hours to get there,.... from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and I will only go to this hotel from now on. Peace. Glenn Harper

    Unimpressed
Room was definitely not what the pictures showed and was very dated. View was nice but the room was old and had a somewhat funky smell. Room service was very nice but the rest of the staff offered no information and there was also no hotel information inside the room.

    Meh
Not much bang for the buck. Our room had a great view of the river. Size of the room and bathroom were good. But, it’s WAY overpriced. And $15 for wifi, $4 for a bottle of water? Raised, the lounge, was nice. Friendly staff. We will not be returning. There are too many other good hotels in the area that are much more inexpensive.

Perfect location, friendly staff, comfy bed
We flew in to O’Hare and were able to take the blue line train all the way to a point close to the hotel. The hotel itself has beautiful views and is in a fantastic location. We enjoyed Phantom of the Opera, great food, and shopping all within walking distance. The bed was comfy. Only disappointed that when remodeling the workout center they apparently did away with amenities they were known for which catered to adults.... bring back the steam room and hot tub options and I think I’d easily choose to stay here again.
