Very good buffet breakfast which could be eaten outside on terrace with awning weather permitting. Only downside was lack of space outside to sit or lounge area inside but probably not really necessary as most guests appeared to be overnighting enroute to other places. A pity because Saintes is an interesting and pleasant town. Good restaurant right next door.

Arrivée à 18h30 le jour même avant mon RDV à 20h à Royan. La chambre sent très mauvais, la poubelle des sanitaires est surchargée et émet une odeur nauséabonde. Nous quittons la chambre en passant par l'accueil afin que le nécessaire soit fait. Notre interlocutrice nous dit qu'elle s'en charge "personnellement". De retour à 1h du matin, toutes les places reservées aux véhicules électriques sont occupées par des vehicules thermiques alors que le parking ne manque pas de place. Arrivés en chambre, RIEN N'a été fait ! Odeur à vomir dans la chambre mais aussi .... : Pas de papier dans les toilettes...nous devrons nous debrouiller avec nos klenex Des cheveux dans les draps, ce qui me confirme que la chambre n'a pas été faite et que le lit à été refait au carré sans que les draps n'aient été changés. Inutile de préciser mon agacement et que je n'ai pas dormit de la nuit. Personne n'accepterai de payer une nuit pour dormir dans les draps de la veille, encore moins se doucher dans une salle de bain qui n'a pas été nettoyée, encore moins utiliser des WC sans l'équipement rudimentaire. A ce titre je demande le remboursement de ma nuitée qui fut la pire expérience de ma vie, et je pratique les hotels regulièrement. Moi qui ai assisté aux conférences de Stephane GAUTHIER (ancien DG de BW) et qui soutien le commerce indépendant, je me rejouissais de tester l'enseigne. Inutile de préciser que ce sera ma dernière experience avec BEST WESTERN de manière générale.

La climatisation est mal entretenue et dégageait une odeur nauséabonde. Les piles de le télécommande de la climatisation était en fin de vie. Les pommeaux de douche sont des pommeaux à économie d'eau : pas de débit et jet désagréable. De plus notre pommeau était plein de calcaire: l'eau ne sortait pas correctement par tous les trous.

Vieil hotel dont les chambres sont bien rénovées. Les anciens châssis sont bien insonorisés. La climatisation est efficace, mais il n'y a pas de mode silencieux (mode nuit). Literie bien confortable. Par contre, les zones communes restent à rénover, ce n'est pas top. C'est un hôtel idéal pour une halte rapide d'une soirée, juste en sortie d'autoroute, des restaurants autour, ainsi qu'un supermarché. L'accueil est sympathique mais pas de conseil à l'arrivée sur ce qu'il y a à voir rapidement à Saintes pour se détendre les jambes par exemple, et ne sait pas comment fonctionne la climatisation. Pas de possibilité d'oeuf coque ou sur le plat le matin, mais le buffet est quand même bien complet et d'un bon rapport qualité prix.

La chambre 131 était baignée d’une odeur d’égout, de renfermé et d’intense humidité. Une aération n’y a rien changé. En regardant mieux des moisissures s’étaient développées un peu partout, sur les huisseries, dans les coins de pièce et les recoins… bref j’ai du dormir la fenêtre grande ouverte pour ne pas m’intoxiquer. Je n’ai rien dit ni réclamé, mais je ne reviendrais pas, ça c’est sûr.
