Perfect spot for a long weekend getaway!
My wife and I stayed at the Rambler for a long weekend away. We went to SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and the Old Town Trolley Tour. The Rambler’s location was perfect! About 15 minutes from downtown San Diego meant we were not going to be disrupted by a lot of noise (like planes landing and taking off) but still close enough that a quick drive got us to everything. Our room was great! Very clean and it seemed like it was newly renovated. The bed was VERY comfortable and the shower had better water pressure than our shower back home. We ate at the cafe a few times and it was delicious! Parking was the only thing that was a little tight but there’s not much that can be done about that. Plus, it was free! Big plus if you’ve ever stayed in San Diego. We will definitely be back!

Nice vibe!
The rooms are somewhat small but clean. The beds are very comfortable. The vibe is nice. Everyone from staff I talked to were very attentive and cordial. The only complaint I have is the smell of the room. When I first walked into the room it smelled somewhat like bug spray or a very cheap perfume odor, probably from the carpet cleaner.

Our stay was comfortable, budget-friendly, and convenient. The bed and clean towels were heavenly.. We would recommend you choose a different location if noise is an issue because it’s next to the freeway and can hear neighboring rooms. Customer service was below average. Evening staff unfortunately did not welcome us, requested ID, and gave us instructions to our room but it felt like we were intruding. Overall, great budget friendly option.
