The hotel smells dated, old and heavily smoked throughout . Lot of path work, even within the rooms that are noticeable to the eye. Toilet barely worked. Shower wasn't cleaned 100% and barely held hot water. Carpet stained and room smelled,

Dissapointed with the stay

Conditon of the hotel is gloomy. Hotels smells. Dated. Beds stained. No working phones in the room..no alarm clock in the room. maintenence work is patch & go , you can see it with your own eyes. The lady at the desk asking for reviews for some contest , um no thanks . Last thing I want to hear.

Country Inn & Suites was stale

The hotel itself provides a quiet environment. It also sits away from the city and is in a fairly quieter part of town. The stay would have been pleasant however there were people smoking cigarettes as well as weeid throughout the evening and nights in the front entrance as well as the back. I don't know about you but who wants to walk through smoke to get inside the hotel. The whole back entrance all the way to the bathrooms smelled of weeid. Breakfast is hit or miss, but I would look into improving it. Half done potatoes, raw eggs and cold sausage isn't appetizing. You ask for housekeeping it doesn't necessarily get done.

Overall it's okay, Few bad apples though

Always a pleasant atmosphere during the morning shift. Depending who is on during the second half of the shift it can be hit or miss. However I've yet to come into or receive pleasantries during the over night shift. I understand night shift isn't for everyone but everyone you come in contact with should feel welcomed as a guest and that isn't the common factor on that particular shift.

During the day and evening hours the level of service is unmatched compared to some of the surrounding hotels/motels , however during the nights it's like a totally different atmosphere and hotel comparing it to the daylight and evening hours. The person at the desk at night is either sleeping or complaining about doing their job. Housekeeping is friendly. Plenty of things to do nearby.

guest services during the overnight shift are less than friendly and welcoming. It is a struggle when it comes to your reservation as it appears the person at the desk isn't fully comprehending what needs to be done and are not really motivated to come from behind the desk when something is needed. The hotel sits in a peaceful area of York Pa. Plenty of food and shopping businesses within walking & driving distance. The hotel is a bit dated but you can tell that whoever is running the hotel is trying.

It was a pleasant stay. Hotel is a bit dated. There's plenty of establishments within both walking and driving distance. The area around the hotel is quiet and peaceful. Breakfast can use some improvement especially everything isn't prepared or out for breakfast. Seems like just enough is being done however it isn't enough and before 7am there is more than one item completely out.

I called numerous time to try to book a reservation and couldn't get a hold of anyone at the front desk. Upon arrival, sign at the desk , but the lady was sleeping in the back unaware of us. Not a good first impression

Stayed here to visit sick relatives and you can smell weed at the front desk and throughout the hallways. There is much room for improvement from the state of the room, to breakfast. Outside of this, the workers are friendly and welcoming and there is tons to do within driving distance.

Reflects badly

My interaction with Jaime was very unprofessional. There's no customer service skills and or motivation to help or assist a guest. For a day I had to use the public restroom and that was the only option I was given. The next day I asked for a blanket and was told there wasn't one however when the next shift came on, I was quickly given one upon asking.
