Our room felt very dated. Good mattress and bedding but rest was out of date. Bathroom did not feel clean and fixtures (tub, shower, toilet) seemed very old and worn out. The heat in our room did not work. It was quite cool for mid-October. When we asked at the front desk we were informed that the Hotel doesn't turn on the heat for rooms until later in the month.

Staff offered early check-in, when we arrived early, but were not even asking for that privilege. Provided a ground floor room since we had bicycles with us, and elevator use could have been more difficult. Staff very friendly and were eager to accommodate. In summary, just a great place to stay.

Room smell was horrible. Room was so cold, I slept in sweats and socks and extra blankets (after I complained and they basically said “that’s the way it is”). Blankets themselves smelled! Like body odor mixed with mildew or dog. Shocking, frankly. For $187 a night before fees, this shouldn’t happen.

This property was very handy for the spots we were visiting in Grimsby. Unfortunately the one night we had at this property our toilet was not working forcing us to go to the lobby. We didn’t get to the hotel until after midnight so really didn’t notice the toilet until the morning so there was know point in calling the deck to have it fixed. We did report it to the front desk when we checked out

Beautiful hotel, the room was nice. The restaurant food was not so great. Not many options to choose from and everything seemed under cooked. I would stay here again for the convenient location.I just wouldn't eat at the restaurant. Tim Hortons is just across the road so it was nice for coffee in the morning and a quick breakfast. We also asked for extra towels after having a bath the night before and we never received any any which kinda sucked for the morning showers.
