Three stars is fantasy; two stars is a stretch
"Depressing" is the only word I can use. The phots in the profile have no bearing on reality. I wish I could post pix here. The hotel abuts a rail line, with trains going by all night. The halls are poorly lit and dark. The room had stains on the ceiling with filty curtains. The front lobby was lit by the reception desk, but the rest was dark and the bar area was not open. If there were not a conference going on this were not the only room in/near Bologna that we could find, we would have left.

Run down
This hotel is run down and is need of many repairs. My kids didn't want to stay and if I had the option I would of left. Fortunately it was only for one night. The carpet was discussing and where it needed replaced they had another carpet duct taped over top of it. There was a hole in the wall that was filled with toilet paper. The heater was stuck in on mode and it was 75 degrees outside. We had to open the windows and listen to a train pass by ever few minutes. At one point in time our room was filled with smoke and smelled of cigarettes from people being outside smoking. Walls were paper thin, we could hear our neighbors on the phone. Will not stay there again.

Great value for money, hotel a bit dated, 1960s block in employment area, BUT has great pool, good breakfast, friendly staff, and a good centre for exploring Emilia Romanga - Modena, Reggio, Parma, Ravenna etc. Could also get to Florence in 1-2 hours. And set on the edge of fantastic hilly countryside - the Appenines

stay Here!
I have to admit I was a little worried about staying here bc of some of the other reviews I read, but the hotel was great! My room was clean and comfortable. (Only downfall is my air conditioning didn't work, but I've been in Italy long enough now that I'm used to that) I am a 28year old American female traveling alone and I felt completely safe the entire time I was there. The staff was incredibly friendly and even spoke English with me, which is so helpful! They went out of their way to make sure I was doing ok and didn't need anything. The pool was great and I spent my late afternoon relaxing by the pool, drinking wine. It is a little far from the city so the night life by the hotel is non existent (except a strip club next door, but I passed on that opportunity) if you have a car or want to take a bus/taxi it's only about a 20 min drive. It was a great experience!

4 stars? well, nice swimming pool
4 stars? well, nice swimming pool and location of the hotel (but, all in all, it's far, far away from Bologna). AC did not work, lights did not work, hair dryer did not work, showers are almost destroyed and there are constant problems with power supply. Electrician was announced to come in 2-3 minutes, but it had not happened during our whole stay. Hotel is quite clean, but walls (imho) are too thin so that you hear neverending conversations from the rooms surrounding you. Summing up - you get what you pay for.

My second visit to this hotel.
My second visit to this hotel. It's certainly not 4*. It's 2*-3*. Very 60's. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear every word spoken in the next room. There is a strip club under the hotel that comes to life about 10PM. Poster for it in reception. The pool is green not blue. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. The staff are helpful. The lift has names engraved by people by in the metal. Saturday night there is normally a loud disco and can be heard on 4th floor. The only english channel, CNN, has a fuzzy picture...both visits I asked to be repaired but was not. The hotel is quite cheap...about 25 mins from Bologna Feira. U need Sat Nav! The post code on the Sat Nav does not take you to the hotel...but a bridge....keeping going another 2 -3 mins away from Bologna to find it...U can't miss it on the main road on left (heading out of town)
