Family Getaway

This resort was so beautiful and made us feel like we really were in an island. From the moment we arrived, valet was very friendly, front desk staff efficient, concierge/bellhop very accommodating. The room was a perfect size for two adults and two young children. The beds were very comfortable. The entire resort was very family friendly and there were alot of activities for kids and guests of all ages. The private Bay Area was really nice and being able to walk across the street to mission beach is really accessible. We didn’t eat at the resort but the menu looked amazing! Lava Java was delicious. Very eager to stay here again!

Horrible room horrible service

We booked the garden view room to only find out that the view was 4th floor on the tower facing the parking garage. We complained and they moved us the first floor of the tower. Our room was aged to say the least. From the lamps, to the bathroom to the refrigerator, beds and fixtures. We couldn’t the hot water for the shower to stay hot because the shower handle was old that it would rotate on its own while showering. We couldn’t setup Netflix or any other streaming service from out phone to the TV because they didn’t have internet setup for the tv. We had to request for shampoo and body wash because they didn’t refill it. Another big let down was the advertising of heated pool which was a selling point for us. The pool was not heated and the very cold. We tried dining at the restaurant at the facility and they had us waiting for 1/2 hour even though I complained numerous times about not having service. The host kept telling us the the manager would come see us and he never came. The marina area is nice. The rooms are old. Old motel looking rooms. The room does have an AC unit that regulates the temp. It’s an old AC unit that is right next to the bed and it just blows heat or cold at the temp you place it. I don’t understand the rave reviews. Did I get a different room from everyone else?

The bed and pillows were comfy! Looked a little old on the inside and balcony - could use some upgrades. Service was friendly and location is nice near the bay and beach.

Nice location, pricey and limited onsite dining.

Nice location, Poor onsite food options. We struggled to find a straightforward breakfast menu or even a dessert. Reception was ice cold!! Staff looked exhausted.

Great place and very affordable !!

We had a great stay, coming to visit our son, who lives in the area! Such a great hotel!! We are definitely going to book at the Catamaran again !! Loved it and can't wait to come back!

Best, family chill resort in town

We love staying at the catamaran. In February we didn't know the tide would be so low, we usually come in the summer. Love the relaxed resort, the birds and location. The free arcade is great for the kids and pool is awesome. Get the pond rooms or beach rooms, best scenery.
