Upon arrival at Eichardt's Private Hotel (the entrance and lobby were very hard to find!), we were greeted by a nice man we weren't sure was the concierge, guest manager, or bellman. After informing us that our car was parked in the wrong location, he grabbed a luggage cart and came out to unload our luggage which he proceeded to wheel down the street to our lakefront apartment. In hindsight, he may have suggested that we walk down together to view the room and that he would deliver the luggage later. He gave a thorough review of the room amenities but explained nothing about the property itself, restaurant hours, fitness options, etc. At one point during our stay the wrong car was brought to us when we requested ours. Overall, the staff seemed to not be coordinated and no one seemed in charge nor committed to excellent service befitting a property commanding that price. Also, our room was 'tired'. The grout in the bathroom was dirty (a good bleaching would help!), the rug in the living room was frayed, and the upholstery was worn. We also noticed a large boat at the dock with the hotel name on it. Was that a service or tour option we could have taken advantage of?
