We had a great stay at the Kinzie. The location is fantastic-right in the heart of the river district area and not far from the T station. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good and offered plenty variety, although the room got crowded. The afternoon happy hour was a nice touch as well. We would stay here again. The only downside is that there isn't really anywhere to hang out outside of your room in the hotel (other than the breakfast/happy hour room, which isn't very large). There is no lobby to speak of. But the central location near so many fabulous Chicago cafes and eateries makes up for that lack.

It was great as a solo traveler saftey is my top priority, having the elevator only give acess to the floor with a keycard gave me peice of mind. The staff were great always greetin me in the hallways and asking if i needed anything.
