Outlets were not working when we came in the room the first time. Had to call maintenance to get them working. Coffee pot in the morning was not working either. I stayed in the hotel for one night before leaving Zanzibar, If you are looking for a 5 star hotel experience, with a spa, nice restaurant, safety, and quiet. Also a 5 min walk to the airport (or shuttle) This place is great! You can always take tours from here, and return to a nice cozy feeling of home. But if you're looking to wake up in stone town or the beach, this is not that place. That being said, the staff is 10/10, amenities are 10/10, the restaurant and breakfast are fantastic. This is a perfect place to stay if you have kids, or are somewhat skeptical of the island (you shouldn't be, it's safe). Or if you just want a luxury experience! Whenever I come to Zanzibar, I will always make it a point to stay here for my first night, or on my last night!
