Wonderful location and service
What a lovely location. Service was wonderful. When they found out it was our anniversary, they upgraded our room and left us a surprise bottle of wine and chocolates. Look forward to another staycation there sometime soon.

Beautiful hotel with a lot of history and great room design. It's worth it to make sure you get a room on the Michigan or Monroe sides of the hotel -- if your room is above the back alley, you'll be woken up by garbage trucks. That happened to me the first morning, but the staff was very gracious about moving me.

Okay hotel but not worth the $$$
The hotel is a bit of a mess. You have to walk a mile and through some bar to get to the elevators. The room is very comfortable and cute but the shower is terrible, barely drips any water. They have an elevator problem too. You can be waiting for a while to get an elevator. Overall good hotel but not for $300+ a night.

Happy Pre Christmas Stay.
The people and amenities at the hotel were beyond what we could have expected. The first room we checked into (at 11pm) was far too warm and when mentioned to the front staff they immediately apologized and moved our room. The hotel has multiple reatauarants that offer varying options to satisfy any palette. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Upon checking in and taking a quick look around the hotel, my wife and I said "wow, this is the coolest hotel we'be be ever stayed at". The design, decor and attention to detail are amazing. The hotel has a fun energy that you immediately notice as well. We were upgraded to an amazing room with a few over Millenium Park and were given a few lovely little gifts to help celebrate our anniversary. Every hotel staff member we encountered was excellent! While Cindy's is a must visit and a major hot spot. Fairgrounds coffee is awesome. Shake shack is amazing (duh) and we enjoyed a drink and a snack in the games room too. Location can't be beat either Would highly recommend staying here!

Made my all-star weekend perfect!
I had an amazing experience here during February 2020 stay. I booked this spot during my trip to Chicago for NBA allstar weekend. It did not disappoint. I found staff to be helpful, and friendly. The room was stylish and clean with a ridiculously comfortable bed. The in-room bar was well stocked. Room service was awesome with delicious food. Even saw a pro ball player there! The only real downside is lighting. It's a little dark in the rooms which make it harder to do makeup. Other than that, amazing place.

Sad but true
This hotel needs a professional managment company. The staff is super nice but everything is a bit worn. A hotel needs consistent refreshing and this hotel does not get that. The sheets were torn the bathmats frayed and the curtains sad and dated. They gave me an upgrade and the room turned out to be smaller and the above mentioned things they said they would remove the upgrade fee but they never did. It has some super cool elements like the basketball court but then they provide a tattered flat ball and the kitchen staff roll dished by you as you shoot. I am happy I stayed the bones of the building are amazing but there are much better hotels for less money in Chicago.
