Historical Center Bruges
Historical Centre Bruges enchants visitors with medieval magic at every turn. The UNESCO-listed Gothic architecture and winding canals create a fairytale backdrop for your adventures. Take a dreamy boat ride through the "Venice of the North" before exploring the towering Belfry or admiring Michelangelo's Madonna in the Church of Our Lady. The cobblestone streets lead to hidden chocolate shops and cozy beer cafés. Car-free streets make walking a pleasure, though you'll want sturdy shoes for those charming cobblestones. Traditional Flemish cuisine shines in medieval taverns, while boutique hotels in converted historic buildings offer the perfect base for your explorations. Visit early morning or evening to dodge the crowds and soak up the romantic atmosphere.

Sint-Anna Quarter
Sint-Anna Quarter is a peaceful escape from Bruges' tourist-packed centre. Wander down cobblestone streets lined with red-brick Gothic buildings and stepped gables. History buffs will love exploring the Byzantine-inspired Jerusalem Church with its replica of Christ's tomb and the Folklore Museum's authentic displays of traditional Flemish life. Local cafés serve hearty Flemish stews and Belgian beer at prices lower than the city centre. Charming bed and breakfasts in converted historic homes offer a genuine Belgian experience. The quarter is easily walkable, though cobblestones require sturdy shoes, and it's just a 15-minute stroll to the central train station.

Ezelstraat Quarter
Ezelstraat Quarter captures medieval Bruges at its most authentic. Wander down cobblestone streets past Gothic facades and ornate guild houses, ducking into local bakeries for warm waffles. Park Sebrechts offers a peaceful retreat while St. James's Church showcases stunning architecture that tells centuries of stories. The area buzzes with locals shopping along the historic Ezelstraat corridor. Traditional bistros serve hearty Flemish stews and fresh mussels, while charming chocolate boutiques tempt with Belgian specialties. Most attractions are within a 15-minute walk, making this residential haven perfect for travellers who want to experience Bruges beyond the tourist crowds.

Sint-Gillis
Sint-Gillis charms with medieval architecture and cobblestone streets away from Bruges' tourist crowds. This walkable area offers authentic Flemish experiences through local cafés, small shops, and the Gothic Sint-Gillis Church with its impressive spire. History buffs will appreciate the well-preserved guild houses with their stepped gables, while beer lovers can sample local Brugse Zot in traditional brown cafés. Family-run bistros serve hearty Flemish stews at moderate prices throughout this quiet residential quarter. Charming bed & breakfasts in converted medieval townhouses provide accommodations with historic character. The efficient bus network connects Sint-Gillis to Bruges' centre, though most attractions are just a pleasant 15-minute walk away.

Bruges Center
Bruges Centre wraps you in a medieval fairy tale where Gothic spires and dreamy canals steal your heart at every turn. Get lost on cobblestone streets lined with chocolate shops, or climb the massive Belfry tower for views that'll make your Instagram followers weep with jealousy. The Markt square buzzes with energy while the peaceful Minnewater "Lake of Love" offers a romantic escape from the crowds. Traditional Flemish taverns serve up hearty stews and local beers in buildings older than your great-grandparents' grandparents. Most of the centre is blissfully car-free, so you can wander between canal-side boutiques and museums without watching for traffic. Boutique hotels in converted medieval buildings let you live out your time-travel fantasies with modern comforts.

Wander medieval streets where canals reflect centuries-old buildings in this perfectly preserved time capsule. The Belfry tower rewards those who tackle its 366 steps with views that explain why photographers never leave. Chocolate shops tempt with pralines made on-site, while local breweries serve Trappist ales in goblets that demand to be savoured, not gulped. The Markt square buzzes with activity beneath its soaring Gothic architecture. Take a boat tour where guides point out details you'd otherwise miss, then visit the Basilica of the Holy Blood, which houses a relic that would be the plot of a thriller novel if it weren't actually true. Museums showcase Flemish masters whose paintings capture light in ways that digital cameras still can't quite match.

Martin's Brugge
"Très beau séjour. Nous étions trois adultes dans une chambre comprenant un lit King et un sofa-lit. Les lits étaient très confortables."
Grand Hotel Normandy by CW Hotel Collection
"Nice clean room and facility. The building is quite charming. The location is nice (an 8-10 minute walk to the main tourist attractions). It would have been nice to have fresh/lime water available in the lobby (they have some sort of an ice-tea but not water). There is a bus to the train station, which takes about five minutes so quite convenient. The staff was friendly, and they managed to get us checked in a bit early (around Noon)."
Hotel Aragon
"Front desk staff was super helpful and the location of the hotel was perfect for Market Square. We loved it."
Novotel Brugge Centrum
"Overall the hotel was nice (modern which I usually like although it was very soulless with no character), great location for exploring Brugge, most staff really friendly and helpful and a big shout out to the maintenance guy who both replaced our mini fridge but saved us by locating a battery for our car remote. The only areas it was a let down was the food/drinks was very over priced €7 for a coffee (horrible coffee), €13 cheesy chips etc, in the evenings a lack of staff at the bar, pool was ideal however very very cold.."
Dukes’ Academie – by Dukes’ Hotel Collection
"Staff were very helpful & friendly. Breakfast has a fantastic range of choices Location of hotel is great for visiting all the main sites"
Martin's Relais
"Gina at the front desk was the best—very kind, helpful and informative. The hotel itself is really neat—nice mix of old and new character. We had a room that slept 3 people and it was very spacious and clean. Could use some maintenance in the bathroom, but overall very comfortable. Very accessible, 5 min walk to main square. The restaurant just outside the hotel is also very good!"
Hotel de Orangerie by CW Hotel Collection - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
"Beautiful place, lovely breakfast/cocktail room on the river, enchanting experience all around."
Radisson Blu Hotel Bruges
"Thank you for a lovely stay. The hotel was nice."
Boutique Hotel Sablon by CW Hotel Collection
"Wonderful room. Loved the little balcony off our room. Steam room and spa were fun. Breakfast was tasty. Drinks in the outdoor spot were relaxing and cheap. Staff were friendly and very helpful. A short stroll to everywhere. It all made for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. No downsides"

- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in a Bruges hotel. If you’re in search of something special, boutique hotels can provide a more personalized experience and possibly better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we might suggest alternative dates that could lead to more affordable options.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but with Bruges's outstanding public transit options, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit farther out that still offers good connectivity. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby cities, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
