First time in Athens in 8-9 years and first time staying in Koukaki although familiar with the area. Room was great, loved the wide balcony, shower very good, bedding excellent and very convenient location for sightseeing but also for going around Athens using the metro or the bus network. Overall the place is nice and clean, in a great location, and with a very good shower. But there were a few very peculiar things: - We got the room on the 3rd floor, which is the only one on that floor, and the lift just opens straight into the room, no door. It's incredibly bizarre and feels unsafe (for example, if we were to call the elevator right after another guests enters it on the 2nd floor, they would end up right in our room). - There's no "do not disturb" sign or any way to tell them not to come in. Our first morning we were woken up by the cleaner. One day when we were leaving and I asked the receptionist to not come up today, she said she would have to pass through our room to get to something? - They have the usual signs claiming to be eco-friendly and to only clean and change towels every 3 days or upon request, but they still cleaned and changed towels almost every day, even when we explicitly asked them not to. - Our first night there was a power outage at 3am, which led to our room being flooded with light from the emergency light which is inside the room - there was no way to turn it off so we couldn't sleep for several hours. When I talked to them the following morning their solution was to put tape over the light, but there was only a half-hearted "sorry" (most places would at least offer some token compensation after something like that)

Unsafe, Deceptive, and Unacceptable – A True Nightmare I booked this hotel through Hotels.com expecting a safe and pleasant stay, but what I experienced was deeply alarming. The hotel’s design is baffling and insecure: the elevator opens directly into the room, and the security code for entry is sent via email—a method that is easily hackable. To make matters even worse, upon our arrival we found that the additional entrance door to our room was left open ajar. In shock, I called Anna immediately. When I asked why the door was open, she curtly explained that it was intentional. I expressed my serious concerns about the elevator’s lack of proper security—as a mother traveling with my child—and she dismissed them with, “We have had this hotel for three years and nothing ever happened,” as if that should be reassuring. The next morning, I spoke with Anna again. She insisted that their email code method was completely safe, showing a clear lack of understanding about cyber security threats. When I then requested a refund because I refused to stay in a smaller room (which she had nonchalantly offered as a “solution”), she flatly stated that since we booked the hotel, we wouldn’t be refunded for any nights we chose not to stay. On top of these serious security and service issues, the room itself was subpar. The toilet seat was broken, and a pamphlet in the room absurdly warned that any damage to the towel—even if used to remove makeup—would result in an extra charge. Moreover,

No issues at all, other than me not being able to figure out how to initially get into the place- but that was my fault, not theirs. Well-staffed and very modern in appearance. Easy walk to the Acropolis Museum, etc. Get a massage at the place 200 feet away, and restaurants in the walkable neighborhood are quite tasty. Would easily stay here again.

The place was nice and very clean. It was a little unexpected when we went into the elevator to the 3rd floor, and it opened directly into our room. When we left, they gave us a Christmas card and gift.

Nice hotel. Keycode entry, so take a pic of the card you are given with the code. Go out the door, turn left, left again. On this stretch is the greek equivalent of tesco extra, an entrance to the metro station and next to the metro station a place that sells souvlaki and gyro plates that make a great first night dinner. Super convenient.

A very clean and extremely comfortable room with good quality bed and black out curtains. Perfect for a family of 4. Just felt a bit tight but thankfully we were not carrying too much luggage and were there just for a day. Also, they don’t have parking anywhere nearby and the roads are very narrow to this property though close to many restaurants nearby.

This was a beautiful, super clean room - very comfortable. The only issue we had was the wiring. When I plugged in my cell phone charger cord, the lighting in the room would go on or off, and the plug in on the left side of the bed needed to be tightened or something. Otherwise, everything was great.
