We have overnighted at this hotel several times. Always well appointed, clean with great facilities and excellent catering. On this occasion, I have downgraded some of my answers because we were looking forward to dinner but there were 2 groups in the dining room alongside others. Unfortunately, the groups were enjoying themselves but were making so much noise that my wife and I could not hear each other or what the waiters were saying to us. We asked to be moved but there was nowhere to go! Thanks to a very helpful receptionist we had a tray in our room. Not the evening dinner we had looked forward to. I suggest that the hotel consider placing groups in a separate area to other diners. No attempt was made in politely asking the groups to tone down their conversation and laughter to enable other diners to enjoy their dinner. It is obvious to me that groups will need to throw their voices in order to reach each other and is a very valid reason for suggesting that such groups are separated from other diners.

I stay here for one night around four to six times a year with my two Chihuahuas while travelling between the UK and Scandinavia. The hotel only has two EV chargers, but I have always been able to charge my car during my stay. Dogs are welcome in the hotel, guest rooms, and outdoor areas, although they are not permitted in the restaurant or pub. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the motorway and roughly the same distance from Münster city centre, making it a convenient stopover. The staff are friendly and welcoming, especially if you make the effort to say a few words in German, although most speak good English as well. One thing to be aware of during the summer is that there are a lot of ticks in the surrounding area, so it's a good idea to check your dogs thoroughly several times after they've been outside.

Location and grounds of the property were amazing, reception staff were very good however the room (430) was dated, had no air con fitted or even the offer of á room fan. PIllows filled with cotton wool and a mattress that was uncomfortable. In the current hot temperatures the only relief was to open the windows all night and the bedroom door in the evening. The room faced the car park and the busy main road was about 50m away. Not a great nights sleep and delivery trucks arriving from 06:00 resulted in the unwanted early wake up. Ate at the Hotel Restaurant, again a lovely location but this was spoiled by an unacceptable wait of over an hour from ordering our meal (in truth the meal was nothing to write home about). FIrst impressions impressive then a definite glide path to mediocrity.

It was a great stay. Whilst the room overall was good, we were met with plenty of active spiders and cobwebs. While cleaning that away, we discovered thick layers of dust on picture frames, behind the TV, and other places. If that can be tended to, then you have a great place.
