Served it's purpose
We were in town for a beer festival. It served it purpose as an economical stay. The beds were not comfortable, mattress toppers would be a lovely addition, but it appears ownership doesn't believe in any upgrade investments.

Dont get me wrong I know its a Motel 6. Ive stayed at most of Astorias hotel/motels and there was nothing exceptionally better or worse about this place. Except for late in the night when water started dripping then pouring from the ceiling on my wife head. I went to the front desk and the clerk apologized and called the room above and asked them to stop their bath because thats what was leaking onto my bed!!!! This is a well known issue evident by the numerous patches in the ceiling. No one could tell me if it was clean or dirty water that leaks when the bath runs but take your pick either way its disgusting that they know about and rent the room anyway. And with surge pricing for an event weekend spending $180 with tax on a motel 6 is bad enough but this with inept response from the staff makes it more frustrating. We moved beds and slept it through only to be walked in by housekeeping in the morning. No knock just walked in. Ending up there was my fault but place maybe should not be operating as is, this didnt seem to be an isolated issue with the facility.

Gloomy stay
Bottom(3rd)floor feels like a dungeon. I asked for no room service on the next day and they still knocked on my door at 830am. I found debris on the floor just under the bed corner so I know the floor wasn't swept properly. The night stand on one side was not wiped down at all. There were sticky cup rings and crumbs still present. Only had two unsatisfactory pillows to sleep with. Glad I wasn't staying long.

I arrived 12/23 in astoria Oregon. I was suppose to stay two nights that I paid for. I arrived in the room was dirty. I took pictures. My neighbors were above me partying until 3 am. I came as a nurses aid to help at the local hospital and needed to sleep between shifts. I called the front desk Hector told him about the noise and dirrty room. He said I had to stick it out there was nothing he could do that the company sucks and he can't move me rooms even though it was dirty and loud. So I ended up checking out 1.5 days early and got much better service next door at best western. I want a refund for my dirty room that I checked out of

Easy check. Room was clean BUT did find hair in the rubber mat for that bathtub. Mold on the wall of the shower- it could have been cleaned with bleach to clean away the mold. Fan in the bathroom didn't do a very good job with the steam, the bathroom sink needed to be declogged slow draining of water after washing hands. Other than that my stay was ok.

Uncomfortable bed and noisy.
Thin walls and hard noisy bed. The bed was very uncomfortable and made a lot of noise when you moved amd you could traffic drive by and people outside talking. I was even in a room furthest from the road and I could still hear the noise. I couldn't sleep on that bed maybe got 2 hours of sleep and decided just hit the road instead of waiting for check. If needed to be able to drive home that day and 2 days of sleep was not going to cut it of I stayed any longer. Would have been a nice day trip and to astoria and skip the room. I would have had a better night sleep that is for sure.

It was close to a lot of things either east or west bound. I was on the floor level and the noise upstairs was really loud. Probably didn't help that there is no carpet to muffle the sound. Bring your toiletries as only soap is provided. Staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked for an extra pillow.
