The rooms had too much clutter in them - totally over the top! There was no room left for our own belongings. Reception was nice but the maitre in the restaurant was bossy. The hotel dog, Noisette, was charming!

Amazing!
This is a really special place. It’s probably the only 3star hotel with its own pier so if you like swimming in the lake or take a boat it’s perfect. It’s very peaceful and charming and quirky at the same time because it retains the original old design yet spruced up enough to feel comfortable like a hotel. Very very special cosy design. Do try the restaurant in the hotel itself, make rsvp because it gets really full. The food is THAT good. Reasonably priced with generous portion. As the restaurant is just next to the pier you have an amazing sunset view. It cannot be more perfect than this. The service is good and staff super nice and helpful. We loved it and will come back again! Thank you Le Cynes!

Couple of days in Evian
Hôtel Les Cygnes is located smack on the lake , the staff are friendly and most helpful and cooperative. The hotel has a special theme namely belle epoque. everywhere you see all sorts of nicknacks. We had a lovely balcony. The bed was comfortable , the room small and with all the cushions which are used to decorate the room you can hardly move around. Great fun for 3 days

Charming hotel with unique decor close to Evian
A friendly and comfortable hotel with very unique decor. Each room appears to be decorated differently from another. Decor won't appeal to everyone but we found it to be a great experience to have a room with character. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and you'll most likely be greeted by their lovely chocolate Labrador dog who is also super friendly and a calm dog. Free parking is available in two carparks on the opposite side of the road from the main hotel. There is a new pool that guests have access to and views of the lake from the gardens is quite nice. Care is taken to ensure that the rooms are cleaned and made to a high standard. The rooms don't have air conditioning but if you open the balcony door you get enough fresh air coming in to cool the room down. The only issue we had was that because the building is quite old the soundproofing between each room is very minimal so we could hear the person in the next room cough, sneeze and snore quite loudly. I think we must have just been slightly unlucky with our loud neighbour but in general most sounds between rooms aren't heard.

Fabulous hotel, loads of character, on lake
We absolutely loved this hotel, which has been beautifully refurbished, to showcase its history and is on prime location on the lake. Excellent restaurant. We were just sorry we didn't have time to stay for breakfast. Great, friendly staff

Antique furniture. Like someone's cottage. We had a family room, which included laundry machine (we did not use as it was near end of our vacation), but would be useful to wash some dirty clothes. Lakeside access was nice, was nice swim on hot day in lake geneva. Good restaurant. Front desk was helpful.

Great food great location
The food in the hotel is amazing. The location is great and it’s great to wake up and look out of the lake. The hotel decor is very busy and wherever you look there are pictures and decoration. The whole place is incredibly clean and tidy. I have no idea how they keep it so clean as every space is filled with something.. I would definitely stay again

Wonderful stay/experience in Evian
This hotel is best kept secret . Such a lovely inn on the edge of town and walking distance to everything .
I would recommend this property to anyone who wants and authentic Evian Lake experience .
The staff was outstanding .
The only complaint is that it does not have air conditioning in the summer which is understandable at such this type of property . However, ceiling fans in the room would be a nice addition .
Parking can be a little problematic , but patience is all you need .

Lovely location
Lovely location, with a terrace right on the lake.Room quite small, not helped by filling it with loads of furniture. Limited parking in front of hotel, free public parking 100 yds away seems quite safe but also fills up quickly. Reasonable value.

Great location but a lot overdone in decoration
The location of this hotel as the lake is directly below the hotel. All other hotels are set back or across the street. Our initial room was small with a poor view. We were able to upgrade (at a higher price) to a room with a direct view on the lake. What a lovely sight! The room was fine but overfilled with pillows and other "kitsch". A few less items and the room would have felt spacious. We had dinner in their restaurant and it was amazing! I would definitely stay here again but I would hope that the management would remove some of the more superfluous items.

An interesting find!
Our room was really tiny but we did have an outside terrace. The staff are lovely and the hotel is really charming and quirky. The food is excellent but don't ask for a latte (remember it's France no matter how close to Switzerland). Parking is not ideal but very manageable. We enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic position on the lake
The hotel looks amazing, lots of flowers, and a traditionally French chateau.
I booked a lake view superior room, and it is probably the smallest room I have ever stayed in, it was very cluttered we had 10 cushions dotted around. Also there was far too much furniture and clutter throughout the hotel.
The staff were ok, as was the breakfast.
Most importantly : We were on the 3rd floor, and the hotel doesn’t have a lift, making it very difficult.
