Highly recommend!
Absolutely beautiful hotel. The entire complex is spotless and well maintained. The rooms were lovely and beds extremely comfortable. Pool areas are brilliant, could do with proper pool table service as it is difficult to get served unless going to kiosk and can take a long time to get food or drink near the pool. All staff are very friendly and helpful.

Not a 5 star resort
For a five star hotel you will certainly be disappointed. Check in is at 3pm. We got to hotel at 3 and they wouldn’t let us into a room until 4pm…. Which is frustrating for the price of the hotel. They also wouldn’t tell us why we couldn’t get our room keys. At 3:01 I asked for the keys and they kept saying “why don’t you sit and enjoy the bar or the pool?” When telling them I wanted to get my room they kept diverting us instead of being straight up and saying they needed more time. We had spent 5 hours traveling, just wanted to go into some air conditioning for a bit and put our bags down. Also the front desk people took quite a long time, took us over 30-40 minutes to check in. Breakfast is small and limited, the waitress we had seemed very annoyed I asked for an omelette. 75% staff was exceptionally pleasant while the other 25% were quite rude and seemed annoyed with us. Language barrier is extremely difficult at this hotel as well, especially for being a 5 star hotel. We would point to things on menus just to have blank stares back at us… we were quite confused by that too. They also were incredibly difficult to get towels from. Even at the main pool on the property they do a poor job cleaning off chairs with old drinks and towels and hard to get someone’s attention for food/drink/clean towels. One day at the pool we went the entire day without towels, then when I asked for two they told me it was 100 bhat! Very cheap but also, I’m staying at the hotel.

New hotel so property is beautiful and in very good condition. Worth the upgrade to horizon room - much larger and spectacular beach and sunset views with access to quieter breakfast restaurant. Gym is good but needs more cardio equipment - a lot of open space for equipment like punching bags and ropes that no one uses. Service is somewhat lacking - very slow check in, check out and service at restaurants. Need to fine tune that to be a 5 star.

Nothing crabby in Varana Krabi!
High end echo-responsible hotel that grows its own organic food and has amazing meals. We opted to eat in the hotel almost every day it was so good. Well equipped health club and multiple pools with ample activities. Gave 4 stars for comfort because the mosque woke us up nearly every morning at 5am (it wasn't horrible and guests shouls stay closer to building 1 2 or 3 if possible). I felt my mattress was no longer flat and my back was aching. They promptly brought a pillow top to improve my comfort. The beach club accross the street is a seperate operator but they work together so you have easy beach access and it has a great vibe and food options. Dont skip the daily happy hour if you can. Overall, great service and I would recommend highly!

Loved our stay at Varana Hotel in Krabi. The staff was amazing. The hotel is gorgeous and quiet. We were looking for a bit more quiet and relaxing stay and that's exactly what we got. The food at the restaurants is great. You have to walk accross the street to get to the beach which is gorgeous. The water is shallow so you're able to walk to a small island. Would definitely stay here again.

They have everything. Plenty to do. It’s away from the “hustle” of the backpacker areas, but a Tuk Tuk can get you there just out the front. Staff are excellent and the rooms are just awesome. We will be back!

Such an amazing hotel! Stunning! Beautiful Beach across the road which is a lot more relaxed than other busy areas. Lots of great places to eat and drink nearby if you want to try something different. Really good gym and pool facilities and super polite staff. Loved this place. Hope to come back one day.

Great activities and customer service
Great activities in the hotel. Rock climbing and paddle fit are unique to this hotel from my stays in Thailand. Breakfast food and customer service were outstanding. We ate at Nook which was great food although slighter smaller portions and higher prices than locals. However, they had great service and restaurant ambience, typically hotel 5 star restaurants are a bit more expensive. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed stay and although not targeted for babies the staff made us feel so welcome and accommodated him fantastically well.

This is the best resort I have ever stayed at - absolutely stunning property! The amenities are incredible, the staff and service were top notch, and the breakfasts were to die for. I was truly sad to leave.
