Not worth the hassle

Well...we had to climb two flights of stairs with heavy checked baggage - there was no mention of the lack of an elevator. We were greeted by a friendly front desk attendant, but when we needed help from the front desk (2x) there was no one there. NOTE: every time we did meet someone that worked there, they were very friendly and kind. The room was very small for two people abs two pieces of luggage. The bathroom was tiny. Hard to sit on the toilet, as the wall hits your knees when you do sit down. The view was into an alley where drunken tourists were loud throughout the night as late at 430am. Our light fixture on the ceiling would move when people above us were loud and stomping. Front desk attendants entered our room even after we said we did not want any entry. Convenient location tho. And very affordable for Amsterdam, But not worth the hassle.

We had a great stay at this hotel and found it to be excellent value for money. The location is super central, making it easy to walk everywhere, which was a huge plus. The hotel was clean and well-maintained overall. Both the room and bathroom were small, but for a short trip, that wasn’t an issue - especially since we spent most of our time exploring the city. There was a slight stuffy smell in the room and bathroom. I’d rate cleanliness around 4/5, which is reasonable for the price. We visited in winter and the heating worked perfectly, keeping the room warm and comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and even when they weren’t around at night, getting into the building was very simple. Also free tea and coffee machine! Overall, I’d stay here again for a short visit to Amsterdam. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it’s perfect if you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and well-located place to stay while making the most of the city!

Right in the centre. Staff were amazing. Room was small and bed was as extremely uncomfortable and the towels weren’t clean. Also the light in the bathroom didn’t work and the water pressure in the shower was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place for long stays.

Great hotel in the centre. It’s small but it works as we never there only to sleep. Great location to walk everywhere you need to go. Only issue was it’s only stairs and we brought a big suitcase between 3 of us but that was our fault for being girls 😅 Highly recommend this hotel, will definitely be back

I was very pleased with my nights at this hotel, my room was neat and clean upon my arrival it was also well warm and cozy. The cleaning lady was also kind and helpful. At night the hotel can be noisy due to people walking and going around butI think its due to my room location. All receptionist were welcoming therefore for my experience I recommend this hotel price ,location and receptionist are all 5 star service

The room was very small and the bathroom did not have a counter. It's an old building so the steps were steep and the walls were thin. But the bed was comfy and the location was great

Very very small room with no natural light. Entire property was in need of maintenance, renovation, deep cleaning. The web pictures did not reflect the property, or at least the lobby and room we were assigned.

Positives: - convenient location, less than 10 min to city center - For a single person, room size is ok - Nice and friendly staff Negatives: - Small and cramped bathroom - Stairs too steep and difficult even with a luggage on hand and trying to climb/go down -TV wasnt set up, i had to set it up (though it worked and had TV channels eventually) - Room not soundproof enough

Great location close enough to everything isn’t the best hotel or the cleanest but was suitable and cheap enough was just a place to sleep for us had read reviews before hand and was expecting worse but it was just an average hotel in a great location and cheap enough for the location you are in

Cool spot, literally right across the street from Rokin metro station, which is a stop or two from Amsterdam Central, so the airport is only twenty minutes away. Walk a few minutes south, and you'll find the Rijksmuseum, Van Gohg, Stedelijik, and Maco Museums. A few minutes north west Anne Frank's house, and north east the Red Light district. The room itself has a hipster, studio apartment vibe, with a killer view that looks out onto a bustling Rokin ( street, avenue, blvd ) with a canal view to the south. The photos on their site are accurate. Insane deal for this spot at the moment ( September 2024 ), don't sleep.
