Dissatisfied
I recently stayed at La Quinta for three nights with my family, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. First off, the room was advertised as having two queen beds, but in reality, they were only full-sized beds, which was a bit of a disappointment. The mattresses and pillows were uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
The shower also took a frustrating 3-5 minutes to heat up, which isn’t ideal when you’re in a rush. In terms of room layout, the microwave and mini refrigerator were awkwardly positioned in the corner behind the bathroom door, making it inconvenient to access them whenever the bathroom door was in use.
The room felt cramped, and there wasn’t much space to move around. There was no overhead light, just two small lamps, which made the room feel darker and less spacious. On top of that, the walls were quite thin, so you could hear noise from the neighboring rooms.
Breakfast was another letdown. The eggs tasted rubbery, and the bacon was thin and greasy. The yogurt was fine, but that’s about the best I can say about the morning offerings.
Lastly, there was no digital channel guide for the TV, which was an inconvenience. For the price of $165 a night, I honestly expected more. My family and I were quite disappointed with our stay, and for the cost, it wasn’t worth it.
