Our family of four stayed in the family suite for two nights. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful; special thanks go to Modesto, Maria, and Hosni for their hospitality and assistance. The bell service team was pleasant and energetic. Our room, called the family suite, was actually two separate corner rooms connected by a common door for privacy. The rooms were clean, the bedsheets were fresh, and the bathrooms were spotless, although one bathroom was quite small and had no space for personal hygiene items. Breakfast was included and offered both buffet and à la carte choices. The food and service were excellent. We left feeling rested and felt that the staff mentioned had done a terrific job. That made for a satisfactory hotel experience.

Anthology of Athens is an immaculate hotel with only 18 rooms in the heart of Athens, 5 minutes from the Acropolis and on a busy street, but absolutely silent inside. It is a perfect little haven in the middle of a big city. We also loved the rooftop restaurant for breakfast and dinner. And the staff was over-the-top helpful and accommodations modern and lovely.

The breakfast at The Botany is truly exceptional—easily better than most cafés and on par with, if not superior to, many comparable hotels I’ve stayed at. The quality, variety, and execution were outstanding, and it’s clear there’s an exemplary chef behind it. It honestly goes beyond words. Room service was reasonable. One small improvement would be the replenishment of basic amenities such as bottled water, body cream and toothpaste during housekeeping, without needing to request them. That said, the experience overall was still exceptional, largely because the breakfast alone set a remarkably high standard.

The hotel is close to Athens’ main attraction, the Acropolis, and there are plenty of shops nearby. A special thank you to Irene and her manager, Eleni. I have to compliment Eirini for her outstanding service. From our arrival at the port where there was a small hiccup with our transportation to the hotel, which she dealt with perfectly, to our arrival at the hotel and check in, to being generally kind and courteous and making our very short stay so enjoyable. Kudos also to the lovely staff in the roof restaurant, both dinner and breakfast the next morning. Superb service, obviously you take a great deal of care with your training. Oh my gosh! I have never been so sad to leave a hotel before. My husband and I travel extensively, and our stay at Anthology of Athens FAR SURPASSED any property we've stayed at before. The staff -- at every level -- is incredible. They all go way above and way beyond. Whatever management is doing at the hiring level, they are doing it right. The culture is one of pride and hospitality, and no corner is cut. The restaurant -- The Botany -- was our favourite in all the Plaka region. Amazing views of the Acropolis and The Temple of Zeus as well. We will FOR SURE be back. Fantastic room -- well equipped, and best location.

We stayed at Anthology of Athens on 24 March 2026 for one night before boarding a cruise from Piraeus Port, and from the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. We were greeted at the door with a genuinely warm welcome and shown to a spectacular room overlooking the main road, with views towards the Temple of Olympian Zeus, an incredible sight. The room had everything you could possibly need for an overnight stay, even thoughtful extras like a toothbrush, which really shows the attention to detail. Dinner was equally impressive. The restaurant offers stunning views of the Acropolis, which is absolutely breathtaking when lit up at night. What we hadn’t realised was that 25 March is Greek Independence Day, a national holiday marked by a major military parade. The hotel kindly allowed us to keep our room a little longer so we could watch the entire parade from our balcony. Waking up to see army tanks and troops assembling right outside was a truly unforgettable experience, and without doubt one of the best vantage points in the city. We loved everything about this hotel, especially the staff’s attention to detail and generosity. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens.

The service was wonderful My room was very small. The bathroom mirror for makeup was cracked in many places. My shower in the morning was a cold water only The wine in the mini bar had turned to vinegar I could not figure out how to use the lighting system and I’m usually OK with complicated systems The traffic policeman outside my window started whistling his whistle at 6:30 AM nonstop My room was clean. The bed was very comfortable.

Very nice hotel, looks out of place where it it is. Very clean and helpful polite staff. The pool wasn’t cleaned so didn’t use it but it’s more of a splash pool rather than a pool to sit around. Could have used the space for something else. Breakfast wasn’t fantastic and the service for the breakfast was very slow. Nice touch with a bottle of wine when we arrived to the room. Bit mixed up review as you can see they are trying but needs a little attention to detail.
