I believe this is a family operation.The son is very personable , very friendly and knows everything about the town. The mother handles breakfast and she makes you feel like you broke into her house and demanded breakfast for free. Curt and inflexible sorry to say. Porto Nafplio Hotel was an excellent place to stay. It was easy to find; all the attractions & shops can be reached after a short walk. The rooms were really nice with comfartable beds. They offered a very delicious breakfast with a large variety of different specialties. And the owners are very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for a 3-day holiday and enjoyed it from the first moment to the last, first of all the hotel was in the bazaar and within walking distance to everywhere. The breakfast was great, we stayed on the rooftop with my wife and 3-year-old daughter, the room was incredibly beautiful and modern, it had 2 balconies, the room had a coffee machine, a refrigerator and everything, the staff was incredibly attentive and smiling, thanks for everything

My family travels frequently and this was easily everyone’s favorite hotel. We stayed in the attic family room - it was huge (even by American standards) and laid out in a way - partitions, two balconies, a sitting area - that all four of us could have some private/quiet time. The water pressure was excellent - and boiling hot if that’s your thing, even being on the top floor. The location is fantastic - an easy walking distance to great restaurants, cafes, etc (the excellent Aiolos Tavern is just around the corner). As lovely as the hotel itself is, what makes it really stand out is the staff - so kind and attentive. Leaving early for a tour? They made sure breakfast was ready early - don’t miss breakfast, it’s amazing. Out of coffee? Here’s an extra handful of Nespresso pods. Overslept and missed breakfast? We saved some berry pancakes for you. Excellent advice for local restaurants and attractions. They even gave our girls some Easter chocolate when we checked out. We felt so comfortable and at home at Porto Nafplio that my girls left in tears when we had to check out. Don’t let the small number of reviews on Expedia deter you - they have tons of positive reviews on other sites if you don’t want to take my word for it.
Breakfast was a highlight of each day.
