Great location but old & worn out
You get what you pay for really. It’s a cabin, spacious, but very old and doesn’t have a TV. The AC is extremely loud and the shower is so old that I was made for people shorter that 160 cm. Bring a flashlight as you will walk in the dark getting there. It’s located in the park, and close to the caves. The restaurant is decent and affordable. So your choice is really about staying in Cave City and drive here, or vice versa.

The Lodge location, very nearby the visitor center of Mammoth Cave National Park, is the primary appeal of this property. It is a “Lodge” as opposed to a motel/hotel so expectations should be managed accordingly. Everything was clean and in good order…

It was great! Our boys loved it. We got Mexican and ate in the room, we had lots of space, could easily walk to trails and the visitor center. I loved it! It felt like going away to camp.

That’s are historical cabins on Mammoth Cave National Park. Comfortable beds no TV which made the cabin perfect. Great stay. Deer were There to greet us.

This ain’t glamping.
Roughing it is the best way to describe staying at this location. It is like staying at a Maine campground. While the cabins have heat and air, internet is nonexistent. There is internet at the main building. At night it is sooo quiet and dark. The beds are comfortable though. Just know before you go.

Fall Fun
It was a very enjoyable time at Mammoth Cave and we loved staying next to the caves at the lodge. Our only concerns were the security of the cabin door. We had a hard time keeping it closed/locked. The shower never had hot water and with four of us taking cold showers, it wasn’t the most pleasant. The cabin was pretty clean except a large number of stink bugs, which is to be expected.
